Update: New Staff and wonderful experience to be had.
This is not the same Five Guys that was here a few months ago. First of all let me say that I work in the service industry so it's very unusual for one of us to givea bad review knowing first hand how hard this job can be. The minute I walked in I could smell a foul odor that I still can't identify; nit something you want to have in a room where you will eat or your food is being prepared. Then the cashier kept insisting on correcting me by repetitively referring to the Cheeseburger as a Double Cheeseburger. It took 4 times of him changing my words for me to catch on and then look up at the menu above to see that I was in fact correct about what I was saying. After him seeing the look of confusion and annoyance on my face he tried to justify by saying oh the burger has 2 patties so that's why I said double. Now remember I have the exact same job amd know the proper steps of service. His facial expressions nor tone were welcoming either. After he held onto my reciept for several minutes I asked him how much the tax was. He kept staring at the conputer until I told him that it should say the amount onthe reciept. Again, the nasty look. If it weren't formy children wanting to eat there I would have surely left by now. He then says I have never heard of anyone asking what the tax is. I explained to him that it is common for the suggested gratuity to be double the tax and that's only why I asked. I then tipped him accordingly. Had it been the previous crew of employees who use to work there I would have given them $5- $10 regardless of the amount because of their customer service and the ambiance if the restaurant. What prompted me to give this review is that this is the first time I did NOT order a little cheeseburger and little fries yet it was the SMALLEST serving I'd ever recieved from ANY FIVE Guys. There was not 1 extr fry in that bag they barely filled the cup. Not cool for $18...

My husband ordered a bacon cheeseburger with just ketchup. We shared a large fries and they were BEYOND DELICIOUS! Hand cut and golden brown. With these kind of fries I like to have malted vinegar but it wasn't at the place where you could get ketchup and it wasn't on the tables, so my husband had to find it for me. GREAT news is that they have TWO Coke Freestyle machines and I tried Raspberry Coke Zero but I think that I'll stick with regular Raspberry Coke because the Zero had an aftertaste. My husband likes Cherry Dr. Pepper. This Five Guys seems smaller than the one in Hoboken(if it's still there, I'm not sure.). For $30.00 for two people, I would consider this maybe twice a month or go with smaller portions. Above all I say that this is to be recommended when you're tried of other fast...
Read moreI can't believe im actually writing a review that's going to be this long. But 5 guys WAS my favorite burger joint in Bayonne, NJ. So it's kind of a big deal for me. Upon arrival i was welcomed with a pleasant hello and immediately please wait. There was not a single person infront of me. The last person waiting for there food just go there stuff.
3 minutes went by and i was finally able to put my order in. I waited 21 minutes exactly to receive my order. Funny thing is that's my favorite number but not when waiting for my food. I informed the lady in charge of this and told her im going to post a review and if she has anything to say to change my mind. She simply said sorry and you can post a review if you want. As 5 other customer are waiting behind me.
5 guys please fix my most favorite burger joint in town. It will be months until i come back and try this staff again. The last crew had this place...
