I've been to many diverse performances at the Reser with my family over the past year since it opened, and enjoyed exploring the different seating options (balcony vs orchestra level, right vs left vs center, front vs back). Sitting in the front row center is exhilarating to have performers feet at eye level, but a little loud. The back is fun because you get to survey the crowd and the performance. The balcony still manages to feel close enough. The flexible seating options to the side are a real treasure to those of us who enjoy things more when given some flexibility. Although I will always prefer street parking if given the choice, having a parking garage right next door for $3 makes it a breeze to get into your seat in time even if you're not early -- and is oddly the thing that allows me to enjoy the approach to the performance. When I am doing anything in Portland I am filled with anxiety about the parking situation and cost, which puts a damper on my entire evening.
What's prompting me to take a minute to write a google review was my experience on the phone with Don in the box office. I needed to make a change to my ticket situation and he was friendly and kind. I appreciated the context he gave to the call (it wasn't merely an anonymous transaction) but also appreciated that it wasn't superficial either.
The Reser is a beautiful new space with diverse programming and a wonderful staff. Thanks for bringing this resource into Beaverton.
Adding to this - for every performance I've attended I noticed they also wipe down the toilets during the first half of the show, so during intermission concertgoers are treated to a fresh bathroom situation. Kudos to whoever set up...

We've been here for a handful of performances, and we've enjoyed our visit every time we've watched a performance.
We've watched local organizations perform here, touring musicians, and attended a kids NYE party. I love the events they put on here. Lots of family friendly events! The Irish performances are pretty popular, so book early for those because it tends to sell out. I love that many world music musicians pass through here. The sound is great in the auditorium and the seating is great. It's a small auditorium, but it is nice and updated (and clean).
The staff is very friendly and helpful. They seem to like what they do. The facility itself is very updated and has a lot of natural light. The bathrooms are very nice too. One thing to note is a quiet room for young families to tend to their little ones.
Parking is awesome. The little lot out front is usually filled up because of other businesses nearby, so we just park in the structure next door....
Read moreThat place still needs a lot of work. I just came from the Anonymous show. I fully understand that with the way that show works micing up the individual talent would be hard (although far from impossible) I have a hard time understanding why there weren't at least choir mics hung and some PZM's on the apron. Many people left at intermission because they couldn't hear what anyone was saying. Also some people that stayed for the 2nd half also complained they couldn't hear the actors.
Too top it off, the lighting was amateur at best. You should never see lights on the upper prosenium.
Let's also not forget about the "stagehand" wearing light blue/gray...
