The water is very clear and the lake is located in a very nice area between Tigard and Beaverton. The fishing is decent (during sunrise/sunset), but my issue with it is that you can’t take boats out on it (OR SWIM), and you’re limited to about 15% of the waterfront for access.
The lake is stocked with rainbow trout, carp, black crappie, yellow bulkhead/catfish, pumpkinseed/bluegill sunfish, and GOLDFISH (from a teacher years ago who dumped some in the lake), and LARGEMOUTH BASS. If you catch bass in this lake, ODFW wants them OUT. I’ve seen smaller and large ones (in the water and) caught here, but it’s all about time of day and weather. There is fishing in the lake, with a few spots where you can do it from. There is no trail all the way around the lake and one side is apartments/condos. This is not a park as one would imagine and not a picnic spot either. Today they have done considerable work to this area and transformed it into what most know as Progress Ridge.
