Not a good first impression. Ordered a pizza to go. Largest is 14" (basically a medium). $19.99. Little expensive but if the taste is good, generally that won't be a problem. It was ready about 5 minutes after expected - no problem with that.
The server opened the box top for me to make sure it was the correct pizza. It was burnt to brittle black around the entire perimeter, permeating the interior up to about an inch. I pointed this out to the server who tried to brush it off as being because their pizzas are wood-fired and supposed to be that way. I had to inform the youngster that I've had plenty of wood-fired pizzas before and I've never had one served that was that burnt. He then grudgingly admitted that yes, they did seem to overcook and burn this one "a little". I didn't appreciate him trying to push it off as normal, hoping that I wasn't familiar with wood-fired pizza. We just stood there for a couple seconds - there was no offer to get me another one or knock a couple dollars off. Since I had kids at home waiting for me, I didn't feel like waiting there for a half hour so I took it.
Once home, the pizza, aside from the burnt areas, was fair to good. 6 out of 10. It is not a hearty pizza. Of all the medium pizzas I've had in recent memory, it was by far the smallest. it slid around in the medium size pizza box with lots of room around it. More like an over-sized small. Next, the pizza was light on toppings and sauce. It basically had about 1/2 the volume/weight of most pizzas. What normally would fill us left us still hungry.
Taste was good. Where the crust wasn't burnt, it was fine. The sausage was tasty and the prosciutto was good. But it was not a great pizza as it should have been, considering the small size and high price. Overall, certainly not a good value and the attitude of the server was poor.
Simply put, there are too many better pizza options to bother...
Read moreTERRIBLE service!!! I had such a bad experience we will NEVER eat there! I had just bought hamburgers from Little Big Burger with my 2 little ones and a baby, when we sat down at some picnic tables out in front of Ridge Woodfired Pizza (I did not know they were part of the restaurant as they looked like picnic tables along the side of the shopping center). The tables were not labeled as part of the restaurant. They were not the tables around the back, which were it was clearly the seating for the restaurant. We had just started eating when a server came up and asked us if we were going to be ordering any food. I replied no we weren't. She then proceeded to tell me that the owner was there and we were asked to leave because we were not ordering food. I then had to pack up all 3 kids and move to another area. Mind you, there was NO one eating outside and probably 2 people in the restaurant. They weren't busy and it was the middle of the day during the week. It was such a terrible experience and we felt so unwelcome. We will NEVER eat there and have told all our friends and neighbors to not go there. What a shame to treat a mommy with her young children like that.
Update: Hi Josh, I just called the restaurant but you were not there to assist in this matter. I just wish that the tables would have been labeled like the ones in the back so we would not have sat there to begin with (Progress Ridge location). The date was August 16th 2018 at 12-1pm. The server could have easily said to us instead "I see that you have already started eating, so you don't need to move. Next time can you please choose another location to sit at and eat as they tables are reserved for our guests." We would have never sat sat there knowing the tables were reserved for the restaurant, which would have saved us the hassle of moving 2 little ones and a baby. Thank you...
Read moreBeen here twice thinking I'd give them a second chance.. let me start off with the menu. You would think if you order something with the words "made to order" it would be decent / and or fresh. Not in my case. I ordered the beer battered fish and chips, the fish would not hold the batter as if it was microwaved, sliding off forcing me to dip the fish in ketchup (I didn't get tartar sauce) separately from the fried bits of batter. I ordered instead of fries, their mashed potatoes and all I got was cold mashed garlic.. literally the only thing that had flavor was too over powering. The food is too over priced for the quality they are serving. The only thing going for them is their alcohol and the view. When I asked how big is the "made to order" steak for $23-$26ish the server told me it's pre sliced but it equates to 6oz... as he was showing me with both hands his index finger and thumb to give me an idea of "how big" while talking shrinking it more and more. I couldn't take this establishment seriously. I never ever have written a review for a restaurant and this "restaurant" and the experience I've had has motivated me to write this. Wonderful pictures posted of the food, too bad they're far from reality. The place is located in a beautiful area.. don't ruin it by serving sub par food. It is evident that they're been cutting corners. I'll never go here again and I'll make sure it's neither my friends or my family's restaurant of choice. I'll save them the disappointment and...
