A Dreamy Destination for Sweet Lovers Dot Sugar PDX is an absolute treasure, and my first in-person visit completely blew me away. I’ve ordered from them before through Uber Eats, but nothing compares to experiencing their space in real life. The interior is stunning—welcoming, elegant, and hands down one of the best aesthetics I’ve ever seen. The combination of sleek wooden furniture, glass accents, and natural light flooding in through the windows creates a warm, airy atmosphere that feels both modern and timeless. It’s the kind of place where you instantly feel at ease, whether you’re catching up with friends or treating yourself to a solo indulgence. Now, let’s talk about the star of the show: the food and drinks. I came across their Strawberry Dubai Chocolate on Instagram, and it looked so intriguing that I had to try it. Let me tell you, it did not disappoint! The dessert was a perfect balance of rich chocolate, sweet strawberry, and a hint of Middle Eastern flair. It was decadent without being overly heavy, and every bite felt like a luxurious treat. I also tried their Turkish Coffee which was bold, aromatic, and brewed to perfection. It paired beautifully with their selection of Middle Eastern sweets. Whether it’s lokma (those golden, syrup-drenched dough balls) or kunefe (a crispy, cheesy dessert soaked in sweet syrup), Dot Sugar PDX takes traditional Middle Eastern desserts and elevates them with creative twists. The staff was incredibly friendly and took the time to explain the differences between the sweets and their unique variations. It’s clear they’re passionate about what they do, and their enthusiasm is contagious. What I love most about Dot Sugar PDX is their constant innovation. They’re always coming up with something new, whether it’s a creative drink or a reimagined dessert. Their menu is a delightful mix of tradition and experimentation, and it keeps me coming back for more. If you’re in Portland, do yourself a favor and visit Dot Sugar PDX. The combination of breathtaking aesthetics, exceptional treats, and warm hospitality makes it a standout destination. Whether you’re a Middle Eastern dessert enthusiast or just looking for a cozy spot to enjoy something sweet, Dot Sugar PDX...
Read moreA+ on all accounts. Here's the thing, I just wanted a simple and fast dessert to take on the road, so this place popped up with decent reviews, located in a strip mall. Maybe one group is leaving, and that's it. But it was a little later in the evening. I walked into a clean establishment, greeted right away, and started squinting at the menu. The man (I'm assuming one of the owners) smiled and politely showed me to the table to look at the menu options. I decided pretty fast even though I wanted EVERYTHING. I ran to the restroom (also very clean) and then sat and waited for the food, which didn't take too long. Maybe about 5-7min. The desserts were fresh, and since we had our pup, we started trying them in the car while fresh. Let me tell you, I was in heaven! I got the marshmallow crepes and the best little donut holes I've ever had in my life (Pistachio). I'm coming back. In addition, I had some small talk with the man, and they thanked me after hanging me the bag. I felt so warm and welcome, more than most establishments, and I've been to many establishments. I will recommend this place to anyone passing through the area 100%.
Yay, for the hardworking folk that manage to make your day and provide you with delicious eats. I am so happy with the...
Read moreHEADS UP BRING YOUR SWEET TOOTH!! lol. DOTSUGAR PDX is amazing and will totally satisfy any sweet craving you have. I’ve been here many time but this is the first time I am writing a review about them. You can’t go wrong with any of the choices you make. Only warning I would give is some of the products can be too rich in sweetness. It’s to hard to say which ones because all of us are different. I use to get my own thing but now-a-days I choose to order one thing and share it.
This time around I got the Lokma. Best way I can describe this is it’s a softer/fluffier donut hole, sorry don’t mean to offend by calling it a donut hole. Up until my recent visit I use to get the Lotus topping, which is crumbled biscoff cookie over a biscoff type Carmel. It’s my favorite flavor on anything I get there. I highly recommend trying it. Yesterday the gal working told me I can choose 2 toppings!! My inner fat kid started drooling, haha, so I also chose Nutella! The combination of flavor did not disappoint! Haha.
There is ample parking and it’s easy to access spots. It in the shopping center with the AMC theater and New seasons market. There are a lot of restaurants around there and it would be perfect for date...
