I had my husband take in my ring to be sized and he told them the size they wrote it down wrong and the reason cause her referred back to text where the size I needed was in text and they tried to blame him for saying wrong size so then they sized to the size I needed and told me well it’s going to be 35 more$ than what I told him after waiting a week and half for the wrong size ring and the second when I went to pick it up it looks bent on both sides where they sized. I thought I would give them another chance took in a ring that broke at bottom and he said I can’t fix that and if I do it 400$ Ummm no thank you for a crack at the bottom band of the ring and you want to charge me 400$ to add 80$ worth of gold to fix it and then proceed to tell me well I can’t guarantee it will stay fixed and won’t guarantee the work on this ring poor customer service and long wait and over priced for work that is not guaranteed. If I could add a pic of the ring that got sized you can see on both sides where it looks bent where they...
Read moreI’ve been on an emotional rollercoaster. Went in to have my ring re-tipped (re-pronged) and it was not done to my satisfaction so they told me to bring it back in and they agreed with me that it needed re-done. They did the right thing and re-tipped it a second time but within hours 2 of the new prongs broke. So, I took it back in and they gave me some options. They went forward with a whole new option to rebuild the entire setting, and did so without my consent, and sent me a video of the final product. In the video the ring looked okay and honestly at that point I just wanted my ring back. My husband picked up the ring and when I got home, I was devastated to see it in person. My engagement ring and wedding band are literally the only pieces of jewelry that I wear and the only material objects that I own with sentimental value. My ring is ruined as it is right now, I can’t wear it because I cry every time I look at it. Zoom in on the pics to see how uneven the prongs are and how crooked the diamonds are. It pains me to write this because the people at Spaulding are very kind! I really do think they have integrity and tried to do the right thing. This might be a fluke situation but it’s my honest experience and I’m not sure when or if I’ll ever wear this ring again. I think they are probably a great place to purchase from and fairly priced, but I’d shop around for repairs. If I was giving stars for kindness, I’d give them 5 but I have to review based on...
Read moreThe gentleman who gave us the bad review. It's totally exaggerating; we charge $25 to go down $30 to go up. And yes we do charge five dollars extra if they want to gold back, Zales charges $65 to $100.00 per ring and takes two weeks. Reis Nichols charges $110 in about a week to get it done. Shane company charges $80 three day turnover. Obviously were not charging enough As far as a diamond being chipped in the process of sizing a ring. That's impossible. I understand he saying it was grandmothers ring. I call those generational diamonds. These rings are the best ones to pass on to a new bride. Being 60 or 80 years old rings, the diamonds have tended to be chipped when they come in. That's normal on an older diamonds. I seen the ring the chip was small on the girdle. Again it's impossible to chip a diamond by sizing it. His statement saying we called the ring a cheap ring is totally false. Again grandmothers rings are always generational diamonds and they're better than anything you can buy over-the-counter. I feel his statements or marginally slanderous I take this seriously. I have been doing this for over 34 years.
