Indianapolis Public Library - Beech Grove Branch — Attraction in Beech Grove

Made a detour on my road trip to see Beech Grove because it is the birthplace of Steve McQueen. I’m a big fan. I heard the public library had a section dedicated to him and I sent my husband in to snap a pic for me, but the lady attending said that it was upstairs and there needed to be someone else there to show him as she couldn’t leave her station, but clearly just didn’t want to take a minute out of her day to be friendly and help a visitor out.

I mean look, its fine. Just kind of bummed out. We came out of our way to Beech Grove specifically to see this and it would have been a nice thing to let us take a picture....

can't believe how much of the library is staff offices, checking out books requires so many employees with their own offices?

Plus, the library was pretty quiet except for the staff who talk constantly in loud party-voices. If you shush them they will probably call police and claim you're a terroris, cuz they are precious vital non-parasitic government workers who are more important...
