So… we were really looking forward to visiting this establishment, it turned bad really fast. Our server/manager SARAH was very unprofessional and just rude. I ordered the French onion burger which says it comes with a cup of French onion soup.. IT DOES NOT LOL! It comes with a small ramekin of juice, no cheese no croutons no cheese no cup lol just a very small side of whatever juice that was. This was the least of our worries though.. my bf ordered a side of the mac n cheese and it was really good, just cold in the middle... so when he asked for warm Mac n cheese she offered to microwave it and she did the same with my burger even when I asked for just a plain cheese burger instead .. something simple?? She refused. My sister and her husband also had cold food and cooked not to temp. This time she offered to place the eaten sandwiches back on the grill!!?? That made us question what they do in the kitchen?! She thought she could offer to microwave the food since this upset us and that just made things worse. My sister (who is in the food industry)argued with the manager about food safety and the manager called the cops. We had to pay $130 for 4 people and we weren’t even allowed to have our food remade. Unless we wanted to place our bitten off of food back on the grill that they probably did that for others. No thank you. The owner was also very nonchalant about the whole situation with no respect for any of his customers what so ever. My bf and I were there to do a review but we didn’t hoping they would correct it and we could do a positive review.. but when I had to call myself because the owner didn’t care to contact me back the other manager said to me “oh, so you were waiting for a discount to do your review?” NO we weren’t but I will now! I always support locally owned businesses but this one.. don’t waste your time ! They will not make anything right . If your food is cold they tell you it isn’t and you still have to pay for cold food they are only willing to microwave it or place eaten food back on the grill for you!! Don’t waste your time or money at this establishment please!!! I only give real reviews my account shows that.ALSO, READ SOME OF THE OTHER REVIEWS WHERE 5TH AVE HAS SUCH BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE! THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT THEIR CUSTOMERS! SO WE SHOULDNT CARE ABOUT THEM AND I WILL MOST DEF BE POSTING ON OTHER PLATFORMS ABOUT THEM SMH!!!! I LOVE SUPPORTING LOCAL BUSINESSES BUT NOT THIS ONE AND WE TRIED TO MAKE IT RIGHT..THEY JUST WANTED THEIR MONEY. I TOLD THEM I WOULDNT EVEN DO A REVIEW WE WOULD LIKE TO GIVE OT ANOTHER TRY BUT THE OTHER MANAGER WAS ALSO RUDE SO WE JUST SAID NO THANK YOU! SMH.. they have good food but a terrible staff and a pompous owner and lazy kitchen workers plus lazy servers to make sure the orders are hot and fresh smh what a waste of a good menu.

I visited 5th Ave. Grill and Bar for the second time at the end of December! This is my first review!! I like going to 5th Ave. because it’s a locally owned business. I think it is in a great location! There is plenty of parking in their lot and on the street. I like the atmosphere! I think that the food is good!! The first time I went I ordered the French Onion Soup and a Grilled Cheese. This last time I went I did a Build Your Own Baked Potato! I love the concept of that - I just played myself and didn’t get the best combo of toppings!! I rated the food and service as 4/5 because I thought it was good but not great! Our server forgot a couple things that we had asked for, and I thought she was friendly and processing!! Thank you 5th Ave. Grill and Bar for all that you’re contributing to the Beech Grove downtown area!

AMAZING wings and smash burgers. Actually the best I’ve ever had. I had the french onion smash burger and it was perfect. The burger was flavorful and the portion was perfect. I also had the flame fries which tasted like a gourmet version of In N Out animal style fries. They were also the best fries I’ve ever had. As an appetizer, we had Dr Pepper BBQ wings made traditionally, which means they’re thrown on the grill after being tossed in the sauce. The extra char, adds an additional flavor that I’ll probably never find anywhere else. Prices are also very reasonable. Compared to what I pay to eat in Chicago, this was an absolute bargain. I HIGHLY recommend this restaurant and I can’t wait to come back next year for the NASCAR race.

First of all, when we first came here, my mom and I, we expected to find a secret little hole in the wall that nobody ever really has discovered. What we found was basically a black rabbit hole that seem to have no end in sight.

Because tenderloins are big, my mom and I ordered one with an extra bun. For one, the waitress did not tell us that it was going to be a dollar extra for another bun but offered to give us another bun without notifying. Now that's not a big deal but compared to what else happened, it's only the beginning. It was $6 more to get onion rings instead of french fries with the meal and these onion rings were dark and burnt, almost like someone had went to the tanning bed and burnt themselves, then fell asleep for a month straight. The crust was falling off as well as wasn't covering completely around the onion rings. I ordered an extra side of mac and cheese and what I got was spiral noodles that ended up looking like mucus. The pretzel was $14 by itself and an appetizer. Half of it was so hard and burnt you couldn't even chew it. The cheese was crusty and very thick, almost like what you get out of gas station in the middle of nowhere, not to mention it was cold when served. I've had gas station cheese that tastes better.

And on top of all that, the service given to us by the older, almost in her late 30s late '40s, blonde haired woman with glasses was extremely rude, very unattentive as a waitress, we had to ask for extra lemons in our water four times, she had an attitude when we asked for the bill, we waited for 10 minutes after setting the money on the table before asking for the bill and when we did ask for the bill she was very arrogant and had an air of haughtiness around her, she asked everyone around us if they needed anything and continuously kept bypassing us and going different pathways so she would not come by us so that we could ask her for the bill, and on top of all that was very sarcastic in her demeanor. We left the restaurant to go eat somewhere else after she had the gall to roll her eyes at me as I paid a $37 bill. She walked away as I was setting the money down on the table and then as I left with my mom, she walked back and made sure to scream thank you across the whole bar. Mind you, the entire bar had been filled up and was with karaoke and we were towards the back, where they make the food, and we were almost to the door when I heard her scream thank you very loudly over the karaoke that was going on since it was 7:00 p.m. on a Wednesday. The atmosphere itself gave me the impression that like-minded people were welcome but open mind thinkers weren't. And $37 Bill was after they took off the burnt onion rings. They gave us the choice of either taking off the nasty onion rings or the mucus spiral noodle mac and cheese after we had asked if they could be taken off the bill because it was disgusting.

Will NEVER come here again.

The only thing I regret is not taking any pictures to show everyone how bad it was. We left the whole sandwich, all the onion rings the entire onion rings, the entire bowl of mac and cheese, and half the pretzel. If I could give this review zero stars, I would.

I would definitely be giving this...

Stopped here on a whim with my mom, but we didn't realize Wednesdays were karaoke nights! It caught us off guard, but after a few minutes we were enjoying the atmosphere. We got an order of fried pickles that were absolutely phenomenal and I got the Nashville hot chicken sandwich and a side of mac and cheese, and, let me tell you, that sandwich may just be the best chicken sandwich I've ever eaten. To say I was pleasantly surprised would be an understatement, I would highly recommend. I think the cheese in the mac and cheese turned because it tasted extremely funky, but I really can't dock any points because the rest of my experience was so great. Plus, they gave my mom an overabundance of potato chips with her (extremely delicious, might I add) Reuben sandwich, so I just munched on those instead of the mac and cheese, all good. Fast service from staff that seemed to be genuinely enjoying themselves. I had a great time butchering the verses of OK GO - Here It Goes Again. Highly recommended, I'm from Franklin but since I'm in Indy for college for most of the year, I'll definitely have to stop by again with a...
