This is one of the worst florists I've ever bought from, I definitely do not recommend buying from them. I hate leaving 1 star reviews on local businesses as I work at one myself but this florist really fell short to say the least. I ordered a bouquet to be delivered on 3/18/20 for my mother's birthday that cost $45. Low and behold the bouquet wasn't delivered until 3/19/20, after her birthday which already makes me look bad. The bouquet was incredibly small compared to what was shown online and the roses were in horrible condition. The roses were wrinkly, colored unevenly, and had paint spilled onto the stems. Who sends out a bouquet knowing it looks like that?
I called to complain and the woman I spoke to seemed nice about the situation. She told me that they tried to deliver it but I wasn't home... I was off of work and home all day. I even have a camera on the front of the house that I rewatched and no one attempted a delivery or rung the doorbell all day. (The woman who delivered the bouquet today just left it on the doorstep and left, so clearly they don't care about the delivery.) Whoever I spoke to offered to send me a replacement bouquet and said it would be the same flower arrangement but with different colored roses instead. What I got was far from that.
I got an even emptier, completely different colored flower arrangement. I specifically ordered a purple one since that's my mother's favorite color and now I have a half empty, pink arrangement. When the delivery driver handed it off, a whole stem literally just fell off! You can see right through it, I could've gotten a more full bouquet from my local garden center for $15 instead of this half empty arrangement for $45.
When I called to complain about the second one, the lady I spoke to earlier had no answers and just kept repeating that she was "just following the recipe". She saw nothing wrong with the poorly painted roses or the bouquet being empty and instead indirectly blamed me for only spending $45. She also kept trying to say how "lucky" I was that she actually gave me more flowers than the bouquet was supposed to come with... It seems this shop is very in denial and high priced for the low quality that you get. So now my bouquet is a day late and I'm walking to my local garden center to buy extra flowers to fill in this mess. A touch of elegance? More like a touch of fraud. Thanks for ruining what was supposed to be a pleasant birthday gift.
Edit: Reading the rest of the reviews for this place, a common theme is them not delivering what’s offered online, giving empty bouquets, and blaming it on someone else. Not surprised. I went to the local garden center and bought some filler flowers so now the arrangement doesn’t look so cheap. The florists there agreed that I got scammed, being charged $45 for a $20 bouquet. They also told me the pink roses that were put in don’t look fresh. Sorry but I’d rather trust the local florist that helped me fix the bouquet and is honest rather than the lady who can’t admit to being wrong and over charges for a flimsy bouquet. Not only is the size off but are you not going to address how far off the color is from the picture advertised? And why would you advertise only the largest size bouquet online and not clarify anywhere that it’s the largest size and not standard. I’m still trying to figure out who charges $45 for a...
Read moreWe got married Oct 7, 2018 at Naninas in the park in Belleville NJ. My fiancé, at the time and I decided to make our own centerpieces for our wedding. Long story short it turned out horribly and this was 2 weeks from the wedding day that we had to now try to find a florist who can accommodate such a request. I got home from work on a Friday night and began my search for florists in the area and A Touch of Elegance kept popping up, and being from down the shore I wasn’t familiar with any florist in North Jersey so I gave the number a call. It was 6pm, so the shop was closed but I’d figure to leave a message however someone answered. It was a woman by the name of Sue. She listened to my entire story, the whole entire thing. Never met me in my life and told me “ Honey we will take care of this” and asked me when we can meet. We ended up meeting that Sunday, she had a plan in mind and I trusted her calmness as I was a complete mess. Her eye for flowers and arrangements really blew me away as I knew very little about flowers but she asked me to trust her, so I did. For the 2 weeks of time we had left until the wedding we kept in contact almost daily and met 2 more times before the big day and everything was so smooth. I wish I would have had her from the very beginning. The day of the wedding arrived and she came at 8am to set up the venue, and she came up to my bridal suite to drop off my bouquets and boutonnières and they were perfect. Flowers were perfectly put together and neat, she put a touch into every piece and even included a last minute arrangement I asked 2 days before. I honestly could not be any more happy with Sue and her shop. I will recommend them to anyone who asks because she really is great at what she does. Not only did I have a great experience with her florist, I gained a friend who genuinely is such an amazing, warm, and generous woman. Thank you so much Sue for being a part of our day and making...
Read moreI called a week in advance to make an order for Valentines day. I told the woman on the phone I would be in a rush and I wanted to verify that my order would be ready as soon as I showed up and stressed how important this was. The woman on the phone assured me it would be and proceeded to take my credit card information. The woman then started bad mouthing the florist across the street, which I thought was extremely unprofessional stating that they take business from them and since my order will be prepared before I show up they want to make sure they don’t lose money if I accidentally go to the florist across the street. When I showed up to get my order my flowers weren’t ready at all and I had to wait for them to finish what they were doing before they started my bouquet. So I would have been charged for an order for no reason had I not shown up. While standing there waiting for the woman to start my order they talked me into getting a dozen roses instead of the six I initially asked for. Being in a rush I didn’t think to check the bouquet before I left. That was my mistake. There was only 10 roses in the bouquet when I finally checked it and the thorns weren’t removed so my girlfriend couldn’t even hold the flowers to put them in the vase. I understand it’s one of the busiest days of the year for a florist but how do you provide such poor customer service? The high google reviews made me choose this place over the florist across the street which I’ve gone to before and had great service with. That...
