Had dinner here the other night. I ordered a Manhattan and it came out on the rocks... I did not ask for it on the rocks, drank it anyway and order the next ones specifying I want them up which is normally how it’s served unless you ask for it on the rocks. Anyways we ordered a few apps the oysters and clams n mussels fra d were awesome but a huge problem with the mozzarella en carozza it came out the first time lukewarm with a cold center, now I’m not really one who complains at restaurants, this is like my 1st google review. Anyways by the time anybody had made their way back over to check on us the dish had sat on the table for 10 mins so I felt foolish saying it was cold because duh of course it would be by now. The waiter apologized took it and said she’d be right back with another. It comes back out warm, still certainly not hot. This is a dish that should be piping hot. This time they didn’t slice it thinking that it must be losing heat sitting on the table sliced open but that’s not the case the problem is someone was rushing that dish out of the kitchen. Next we had the penne picante it was great, pasta cooked to a perfect al dente but the sauce could have been a little more flavorful and thicker for a homemade sauce. Then we had the Drunken Uncles Pizza which was a slam dunk, deliciousness. All in all I loved the place, great menu, really enjoyed my 5 miles to Manhattan. I just wish a manager or an owner had stop by at one point, so I could have told them all this.

I cannot recommend a better place to eat with friends and family, you can't get better service and a quality menu like this anywhere else nearby. Brix is our go-to after the loss of Franklin Steakhouse in Nutley before the pandemic. If we even knew about Brix's quality before then, we probably would have been coming here half the time too. Everything is phenomenal. I highly recommend the Thursday special Surf & Turf with 'red wine reduction,' but I've only done it once. I have never had anything less than a 10/10 meal here every single day I've come. Brix's 371 signature burger, steaks, lobster dishes, and many appetizers make their way into my daydreams. My only wish is that I could find the time to show up for the brunch menu, and I'm glad to recently learn it's also on Saturday and not just Sundays. Brix is #1 for Belleville & Nutley, period. These pictures are old, sorry that I don't take more. Too interested in eating every time I see a plate here.

We stopped by here since most other Brunch places were packed or had a long wait. The venue is very large, much bigger than expected. The menu is also very extensive! They even have a special brunch menu to choose from. We got the canoli French toast to start. We should have ended with this since it was super sweet. It did taste great though. We also got the Truffle fries with cheese. The cheese overtook the taste of the Truffle which was a shame. But it was a nice portion size. We also got the eggplant stack which is made with vodka sauce. This was well made with a great sauce to eggplant ratio. The last thing the others got was the spicy pizza which I don't remember the name of. It was huge, piping hot, and well topped. Everyone loved that as well. We also paired everything with a pitcher of white sangria which was sweet and savory. The service was nice, portion sizes were great and the price was also fair. I would definitely return.

I can't say anything bad about the food. Last night was the worst customer service of my life though. Anthony should not be employed by this place, because of how bad of a manager and his service is. Last night my girlfriend and I ordered thru Door Dash at 9:21 pm, as we do once every week, and we never got the food. Brix is responsible for their own deliveries thru Door Dash, because they do not have any Dashers come to the restaurant and deliver the food. At 10:17, I called Brix inquiring where my food is. The young lady that answered the phone said that they had switched the order to be picked up by Door Dash and she doesn't understand why the order would say it was completed when it wasn't even picked up Door Dash. She then went on to say that she will send her driver so we wouldn't have to wait any longer. At 10:52, I called back saying that I still haven't received my food and I asked do I need to come down there. She said you can come down or talk to Anthony on the phone. I replied sure, put Anthony on the phone. He first tried to LIE saying that Door Dash came and picked up the food. I told him that the young lady already told me that no one from Door Dash came and picked up the food and the she was going to send their delivery guy to drop off the food SO TRY AGAIN!!! Yes, I was loud and very angry that he tried to lie to me. Then he proceeded to say that well if you want a refund then call Door Dash and cancel the order, which I then did. After the phone conversation with Anthony, he then proceeded to send out the food, which had already been sitting for well over an hour, to my house, using their own delivery driver. I told the driver its too late, I canceled the order and I don't it. If this establishment isn't capable of running delivery services, then they shouldn't do it. THE ONLY TIME I EVER HAVE AN ISSUE, IS WHEN ANTHONY IS WORKING. I NEVER HAVE AN ISSUE WITH...

I've always been a huge fan of Brix. So much so that I planned our high school reunion here and had my bridal shower here. However, tonight we came in, and the entrees on the Valentine's Day menu just weren't good. The appetizers (rice balls & fried calamari) were great. We were comped for one of the meals even though my husband requested not to be because he was simply providing feedback about the food & he ate his meal. We weren't looking for a free meal although my husband immediately felt nauseous after consuming his food, and I left 3/4 of mine on my plate. I know commercial holidays are busy, but you could smell that something was off with my meal (linguine & clams). It smelled and tasted sour. The reason I felt compelled to even write this review is because of the way criticism of the food was received. It was almost as if the people we told about it were annoyed with us for being unhappy with the food. For almost $30 per entree, it is reasonable to expect a decent meal that doesn't taste like it was cooked days ago and reheated. The attitude was enough to leave us unsure about coming back or continuing to recommend this place to friends and colleagues.

I'm in no way trying to bash this business because 95% of the time everything has been delicious. However, the ONLY reason we ordered from this Valentine's menu is because we were never given a regular menu. We figured the Valentine's menu was all they were serving until after we placed our order and saw someone get served a pizza ..which is what we wanted in the first place. Our fault for not asking, I guess. But after we realized, we couldn't find our server, or any server for that matter, to change it. I am hoping this is just a one time fluke & not the result...

Was very excited to try this place. But once I did, I was severely disappointed... my girlfriend and I went for dinner the other night. They didn’t have numerous items on the menu so it was slim pickings for us. For an Italian type pub spot to not have rice balls, meatballs, or wings is beyond my comprehension. The service was extremely slow as well. Took close to 30 mins to get our appetizer (zucchini and fried raviolis). On top of that, we ordered two pizzas to share. One chicken and vodka sauce, the other mozzarella and prosciutto. We again waited 40 mins after we were done with our appetizers for them to bring the pizza out. We were told that it would be out soon on several occasions but it still took forever... not only did it take long but the chicken vodka sauce pizza was bland and had no vodka sauce, and the mozzarella and prosciutto was drenched in what we think is truffle oil. Which really made it unappetizing especially for my girlfriend. What we thought would be a nice dinner turned into 2 and a half hours of disappointment.

Now through the entirety of our dinner, there weren’t many people in there eating, just mainly drinking. We also ordered pizzas to go, to bring home to family. One spinach and artichoke, one meatball and ricotta.

Can we guess what may have happened next? Yup, when we got home and opened up the pizzas, they were both wrong. They gave us one mushroom and one bruschetta. I called to get my money back for the pizzas and spoke to two people. I was told they would call me back when they initiated the refund. I am still waiting for it....

I would not recommend this place to anyone. That is of course if they want bad service and to...
