I have been ordering here for a long time but they really put a bad taste in my mouth tonight, and I don't think I'll order from here again. I ordered on GrubHub, and when the food arrived it was none of what I ordered--I ordered boneless chicken with only broccoli and they sent sweet and sour chicken with mixed vegetables with pieces of boneless chicken mixed in; I ordered plain lo mein and they sent beef lo mein; and I ordered beef chow fun with no vegetables and the order came with vegetables. My partner and I both have allergies and we cannot eat either of our orders. I called the restaurant and spoke to the person who manages the phone, but when he talked to the owners (who I could hear talking to him in the background) they kept telling him that it was too bad, basically. They refused to listen to the problem and would not refund nor resend my order. The guy who answers the phone was trying to be helpful but he wasn't getting any backup from the owners. So now I'm trying to get my money back either through GrubHub or my bank, and I won't be ordering from a place who so blatantly will not listen to people when they order or what...
Read moreWe have been ordering from China star for years (my family loves the food!) But the last few times I've gone, they always forget something. It is annoying to drive back and forth each way 10min to pick up whatever they've forgotten in the order. Today, they forgot food (again) so I called back and they apologized for missing it and said it would be ready to pick it up. I went to pick up and no one seemed to know anything about what I was talking about. Finally someone came over and brought the lomein, and then charged me for it (claiming i wasn't charged before). This is VERY annoying, especially since I went over the order twice with the person on the phone, called back (they confirmed it would be ready) and then now paying for a mistake that they made with the order? Ridiculous. I asked why it wasn't covered (since the person on the phone told me it was) and the cashier just shrugged. I won't be coming here any time soon- not with this type of customer service and the issues...
Read moreOn two separate occasions, I walked in and was wholly ignored like they didn't need my patronage, so I left without ordering on both those occasions. They've never been eager to serve and would routinely not return a greeting when I gave it. But, the first time I was ignored was during the pandemic, just as things began to slowly reopen. With reports that a lot of ire was directed at Chinese people, I walked in, ignoring several other options, to support their business. When they didn't acknowledge my presence after standing there, at least 45 seconds ready to order, because I always ordered the same thing from any Chinese takeout, I walked out. I tried a second time after over a year, chalking up the first time to a misunderstanding, but again, I walked in, was the only one there, yet, was ignored; I understood now that it was a pattern and didn't wait 45 seconds before leaving. Now, I don't walk in, I don't order remotely, nothing anymore for the...
