We stayed for a month; which paid weekly. They had a problem with our dog, and then asked if they could enter our camper and texted that we couldnt have him at our camper due to him being a pitty( which he is not, and keep in mind on both sides of us there was pittys and one tried to attack me while hooking up the water) and then on a thursday around 830 am camphost told us we could not have a trailer (which we was told our 2nd week if need be we could park it in the parking lot across from us) when we was going to reserve another week. She waited to send a text message that same day at a quarter to 3 to tell us that she was not renewing us (she never told us that earlier that morning) and we had to leave by Saturday at 11am when i replied exactly an hr later asking y we couldnt pay for another week she never responded so i asked again at 720 why we couldnt renew for another week she said our spot weve been in a month had been reserved i asked her when it was reserved because a sooner heads up would naturally be common courtesy one would think.... Her response was ive been booked for a few months. For 250 a week and only half of the camphround was being used the entire stay which was a whole month is outrageous not to mention the other side of the camp ground looked perfectly fine our whole stay. And they have "standards".???.... Made us power wash our camper before we was allowed to park our camper when we first arrived. Another issue was when they had an issue they went to a friend who stayed a few camp sites over and told him to tell us that there was a problem. Will never...
Read moreWe stayed here for 3 nights as we were in town for an event. We didn't spend much time at the campground, but I can tell you it was quiet, as we'd hoped it would be. Upon our arrival, the manager (owner?) approached us. We informed him we'd reserved and payed online. He was then quick to let us know, under no uncertain terms, that there was absolutely NO tolerance of dumping, including grey water. We'd also seen that on their website while researching that particular park. And just to be sure we understood, he went on further telling us that they'd garnish our paychecks to pay the fine for dumping, as well as having a member of law enforcement in the family. We felt as though we'd just been read the riot act without having a chance to do anything wrong, since we'd just arrived less than 15 minutes earlier. But despite all of that, it was a decent place to stay for a couple of days. They are working on getting things "put back together" after the floods and if they aren't quite so intimidating to arriving campers, they may have a successful park once again. Be advised that at this time there is only water and electric hook up. No bath houses, but well maintained port-a-potty's are present. No internet...
Read moreMy 4 children and I came to vist what we thought was the playground for Haworth Park. We are new to the area and noticed the football field, campground and 2 playgrounds. I parked near where the bellevue loop begins. While walking back to my vehicle we were stopped by a woman who said that the park was closed to the public. She told me to go back to my vehicle the way I came and I showed her how we got to the playground and asked if she could show me the way to go. She got angry and told me to just go back and never come back out here. Its a shame. I was interested in campsites. This is a private campground within haworth park. We didnt know that. When you look at pictures online you see the field, camping and the loop so i thought it was safe to assume that the playground was connected since it looks like the same property. We will not be returning, nor do I recommend camping here. A little kindness goes a long way and we were not...
