Larsen Lake — Attraction in Bellevue

THE PARK: Nice part of the King County trail system. If you are wanting a nice place to take a walk, then it's very nice.

FISHING: But if you are going to this lake to fish for crappie/bass/trout/etc, in my opinion, go elsewhere. The bottom is a peat bog, not a gravel lake. It is overrun with Lilly pads and aquatic plants. The plants have tons of tackle and line wrapped up around them making it impossible to skip a weedless bait across them. I spent hours there tossing many kinds of lures and live bait from multiple locations without as much as a nibble. In face I did not even see any kind of birds or small aquatic...

Lovely little lake with a loop around it that takes roughly 10 or some minutes to do. Fishing is good here for crappie and largemouth bass, you just have to know what you're doing fish either weedless or topwater gear (that's what's worked for me). It's not a beginner friendly place by far but there are fish and they can be caught, it just takes time...
