Singapore Maths Club — Local services in Bellevue

I sent my 5 year old girl here for a few weeks of math training. Unfortunately we didn’t find this place nurturing. I think the director Luan is very strict...on the negative way. I had seen her talking down to other kids. I didn’t expect such an unpleasant attitude from a younger kids educator.

It was until my daughter’s first session ended and she refused to go back that I asked her why. She bursted into tears and said Luan called her a cheater in front of many other kids and even warned to give her a zero because she looked around at her very first test there. She was so embarrassed and ashamed of herself.

She also mentioned one day when I brought her little sister to pick her up and I was talking to another parent, she was super excited to see her sister, and she pampered baby’s hands and kissed baby. Luan told her not to touch the baby because her hands were dirty and full of germs.

I do believe there are better ways to handle these situations without hurting children’s feelings. As parents, we would never want our children to feel they are hated by others and ashamed...

My son studied math for two years at the Singapore Math Club. My son and I are very satisfied with the club's teachers and principal. The teachers are responsible , and the classroom atmosphere is active. Teachers Developed my son's interest in math. I also particularly like their interesting homework that is gave to kids .I enjoyed the principal's e-mail feedback to parents on every quater end to the child's learning. The club staff are responsible for the safety of the children. Thank you very much! It is not an exaggeration to say that this is my son's favorite extra-curricular interest class. He also told me that when his younger brother grow up, we should send younger brother to study math here.The funny thing is that my younger son is only one year old! My son took part in the BSD GIFTED PROGRAM TEST this year. The math achievement is outstanding. I am very happy that he can complete his math homework independently.
