Tasty House may be a new addition to the local food scene, but it delivers an authentic Szechuan experience that rivals long-established spots. From the moment I walked in, the cozy atmosphere stood out, making it a great place to enjoy a comforting and flavorful meal. One of the best features is their private dining rooms, perfect for large groups or special occasions--something you don't always find in Szechuan restaurants.
Ambiance: 4/5 The restaurant strikes a perfect balance between a cozy, inviting atmosphere and a lively dining experience. The private rooms are a great touch for those looking for a more intimate setting. However the floor was a bit sticky and the dirty dishes were stacked very close to our table.
Authenticity: 5/5 The flavors here are the real deal. The spice level is just right--not too overwhelming, but with enough heat to bring out the deep, rich flavors Szechuan cuisine is known for. You get the signature mรกlร (numbing and spicy) experience without it being overpowering.
Flavor: 5/5 Every dish I tried was full of bold and complex flavors. The balance of spices, aromatics, and fresh ingredients made each bite an experience. This is the kind of Szechuan food that keeps you coming back for more.
Cost: 5/5 For the portion sizes and quality, the pricing is very fair. You're getting an authentic experience without breaking the bank, making it a great spot for regular visits.
Service: 2/5 While the food was great, the service left much to be desired. The staff wasn't particularly attentive, and I had to pack my own leftovers, which isn't something I'd expect at a restaurant like this. It didn't ruin the experience, but it definitely could have been better.
Final Thoughts: Tasty House is a must-visit for Szechuan food lovers. The quality, authenticity, and overall dining experience make it stand out. However, I hope they improve their service to match the high standard of their food. I'll still be returning for the flavors, but I'd love to see better attention to customers...
ย ย ย Read moreWas rejected from another restaurant because we weren't all over 21 and so we came right about closing. Their last call was at 8:30pm and we came in at 8:20pm. Still got our order in though. Really wanted their stir fried clams but they didn't have it. We got their szechuan chicken in chili oil sauce and it was alright, but really oily. They also really propped it up with bean sprouts so there wasn't that much. Their sweet and sour pork was really like stiff. I don't know why we got A choy because we usually get pea leaves. They were kind of bitter. We also got this tofu but there was fish in it. I've never had this combination. I want to say the only highlight was the stir-fried pork. The spice was just enough and I was worried that I wasn't going to have enough rice.
Ok but the real turn off was the customers there. Their party rooms have no roofs. Like the wall isn't completely sealed to the top. And the people there were so loud, screaming and yelling at the top of their lungs. Absolutely no consideration for anyone else there. The worse part is, I think these people are friends with the manager here and so the manager was also in on it, did nothing to keep their noise down. Everytime they came out of the room, they would slam the door behind them. I thought this was just a drunk man thing but the women were doing it too. Like their manners are so bad. I think just for that sole reason, I'm never...
ย ย ย Read moreMaybe they donโt really need my business. My family and I arrived at the restaurant at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, but no one was at the front desk to attend to us. We stood at the door for a while until a waiter finally came out and said that we could only order takeout because their kitchen goes on break at 2:30. Iโve never heard of a kitchen taking a lunch break on a Saturday, and since we arrived at 2:00, the kitchen could have easily finished our order before the break. Clearly, this restaurant doesnโt need more business, even though they only have three tables were occupied at noon on Saturday, yet they still dared to take a lunch break. We went to different restaurants near by. And I called ahead to check if they were about to go on a lunch break, the receptionist said no one would go on a lunch break on a weekends. See thatโs how you keep your...
