Robinswood Off-Leash Area was an okay dog park. I wish it were closer to the medium-large dog park. Beware, do not bring small dogs to large dog enclosures towards the entrance. I brought Bear & Teddy to the enclosure to socialize my dogs; people have small dogs inside (chihuahua, small mixed breeds). I assume people did not want to walk to the smaller dog & medium dog enclosures, so I wanted to join in. A Larger dog trampled my seven-month-old Pomeranian, and the owner did not apologize or even acknowledge his dog's behavior. I realize that small dogs in a large dog enclosure can cause conflict, but I figured it was okay since I had seen others have small breeds inside. If you are that dog owner, please be mindful of your dog's behavior. Your dog should be socialized & know how to interact with all breeds, regardless of size, properly. People should acknowledge poor pet behavior & correct the dog appropriately. I wish more people would have brought their smaller dogs up to the proper enclosure. I was fortunate to talk to some excellent dog owners, one with which we had our puppies play together. Robinswood Off-Leash Area should be respected by all dog owners as a safe space to bring our pets and to enforce safety as a number one priority. My dogs have been properly socialized, so I expect the same from others to act with morale and good intentions towards the...

The sand gets super bogged down from all the rain so it is more like a soaked litter box... but it is still a playing field.
We find the best time to go to this park is for quick stops passing by or when there is a break in the rain... but for the most part we do not plan trips here. We plan trips to other dog parks and just happen to be in the neighborhood when we are here...
More or less, if your dog needs a place to run this a solid option but if you have the choice to go...
Read moreThis is a great park that I visit often. My only two suggestions would be to replace the sand with grass. Yes, I know it would get trampled BUT, when the sand is wet it sticks to your dog and you need to thoroughly brush it off if you don't want it all over your house. I would also like to see more lighting. when it gets dark at 4:30 it would be nice to be able to visit anyway because it was well lit.
One caution. It's a notorious smash and grab location. Do NOT leave anything of value in your car! If you do, it stands a good chance of being stolen. If you DON'T, it's very unlikely your windows will...
