This is a beautiful park. It's very nice and big. There are two different playgrounds for kids. One is geared towards older kids or bigger kids like 8 and up. The other playground is perfect for smaller kids and young toddlers. My one-year-old had so much fun. I loved that the slide structure wasn't too high and my son was able to climb up all on his own and slide down without me worrying about him falling. There's also another structure that looks like a clubhouse, it's really cute. There are four swings, two for babies. There is a ton of grassy areas where you can lay out a picnic blanket and have a picnic or just relax. There are also a couple of large trees which provides a ton of shade, perfect for hot sunny days. There's also a big soccer field for more recreational stuff. The bathrooms are located adjacent to the soccer field and a short walk from the playgrounds. So if you have kids, be prepared to walk to the bathrooms. Otherwise you can also use the honey bucket that's right next to the playgrounds for a quick bathroom visit. There is also ample parking space. Make sure you park in the right area for where you plan to hang out as there are two parking areas on separate ends of the park. There is also a tennis...
Read moreIts in a super convenient area (directly off of I90) and there is lots of space to walk your dog wether it be through the wooded trail system or just around the perimeter of the park along with two seperate, (large enough) fenced, off-leash areas. The drawback is the sandlot. Im not sure why sand was the best choice for the city (undoubtedly an economic judgement call) but it makes for a huge mess regardless of the season. Rain or shine you will never get rid of Robinswood sand.
Edit: Aside from the dog park the rest of Robinswood is juat about everything anybody could ask for in a park, eg. Huge grass lawns, very well maintained sports fields, children's play area, trails, a lake, etc.
That sand pit kills me though...
Edit: I also failed to mention that, unfortunately and at no real fault of those responsible for the park, there is a problem with people breaking into cars after dark at the smaller parking lot. Locking your doors doesnt help either. These people dont bother with door handles. They skip straight to breaking windows as I imagine it is more fun for them...
Read moreIt would've been a great park experience if the park would've indicated a road map on where the other playground for timid dog. We thought about bringing in our small dog seeing that my dog is a social dog and we Saw other small dogs playing in the nontimid section. Lo and behold a German shepherd came and disrupted play time between my dog and few other small dogs in a rather aggressive way. Unfortunately my dog's ears edge was bitten off. While we were tending to clean the mild drainage, the German shepherd and his owner, walked away. Please place a visual map f9r owners unfamiliar with the park to point out the park for timid dog. The written mention of the latter section...
