We are so happy we picked Robinswood for our June wedding! We were already working on a contract with another venue but it was taking so long we thought we’d tour Robinswood, and after the tour, we both knew we had to have our wedding there! It was much less expensive, both charming and humble, and it was clear Joanna was super organized and would help with all the planning (and we were right – she and Mike did a great job asking the right questions and keeping us on track!).
The only thing about the venue that I’d known earlier was that only a certain number of people fit under the tents, if your wedding is during a time of year that might rain. We invited 170 guests and I wish we’d done more like 120 because it was very stressful trying to plan to squeeze everyone under that tent for dinner since unfortunately this spring lasted so long. It did work out and it was fabulous!
Another thing that is good to know is you won’t know your guaranteed rehearsal date until 30 days before. We made a few plans for anticipating possible times, since we couldn’t wait until a month before for family and wedding party to book flights. Since the venue is public during non-event hours, it is possible to rehearse on your own time as well, which is very convenient!
It is also good to be aware they have a list of caterers to pick from. We picked Twelve Baskets and they were amazing! Other things we liked about the venue is they provide tables, linen, arch, beer/wine and sound system, some décor, as well as a super hands on approach to planning, layouts and recommendations. Robinswood park is a beautiful place for photos, especially the forested areas.
Some more unique things we did were have live musician instead of DJ, set out lawn games and board games and played the Shoe Game instead of dancing, and have a popcorn bar and dessert time! Joanna helped coordinate for all of these, such as moving the ceremony setup out of the way for games. We didn’t feel like we had any big surprises on the day of because everything had been anticipated and planned for. And as you can see from the photos, everything...

We selected Robinswood House as our venue for our Summer 2024 wedding. Beginning with our very first visit to the venue, we knew this was where we wanted to celebrate the beginning of our journey together. We found that the venue was competitive in price with many of the venues in the Seattle-Bellevue area and offered everything that we wanted. We had a garden party style reception (ceremony off-site) and the venue fit perfectly with what we envisioned. The size was ideal for us, with ~120 guests invited and 85 attending. Joanna was always prompt and quick to respond throughout the planning process, and helped us make a truly special day.
The venue itself provides a great deal of space, with a turf area (usually used for the ceremony), a large concrete dance floor area, an expansive outdoor dining area, as well as plenty of space inside the house for guests to cool off during the summer (our wedding day had a high of 85 degrees, so this was much needed). The location inside Robinswood park is an added bonus, with lots of areas around the park to take pictures and for guests to take kids if they want a play break.
Our favorite part about the venue was the minimal additional decorating we had to do simply because the venue itself is so beautiful.
We purchased the bar service through the venue, and were pleased with the cost and service provided. Note that hard liquor is not allowed according to City of Bellevue regulations, but this was not an issue for us.
There is a noise ordinance through the City of Bellevue for music to cease at 10pm, but for our 2pm ceremony time and 4:30pm cocktail hour time, this left plenty of time for dancing and we did not feel constrained by this.
Overall, it was such a wonderful experience having our wedding reception at Robinswood house and we would absolutely recommend this venue to any couples looking for a beautiful...
Read moreRobinswood House is the most perfect fairy garden of a wedding venue. From the moment we first inquired up to the day of the wedding, Joanna and Mike were wonderful to work with. They answer emails quickly and offer their input when asked. We felt so lucky to have them as our venue hosts because they really made us feel like their most important clients, even though they're hosting countless events during the wedding season. I don't know how they do it, but they're amazing.
I love that there are different areas for the ceremony, dancing, and dinner, and that people have the option to sit down in the house if they need a break. There's plenty of free parking for guests (no need for valets). The place just looks absolutely gorgeous, especially with the patio lighting set up. We got so many compliments from guests about the venue. My favorite part was getting to do first look photos in the nearby forest. There are so many photo locations within just a few yards of the venue.
Our guests especially liked the bartender provided by Robinswood House. Due to city regulations, we could only offer beer and wine. But Joanna and Mike worked with us to create two wonderful cocktails to include that everyone loved. Someone said it was the best old fashioned they ever had. They have a limited list of approved caterers, and some are quite pricey, but we hired Act 3 and were thrilled with the pricing and the quality of the food.
We highly recommend hosting your wedding at...
