Atlas Loan & Jewelry Co — Attraction in Bellflower

I found Atlas Loan & Jewelry on Buya.com and I have to admit that I was a bit skeptical at first. I called and asked them to hold an item (Zildjian 14" China cymbal, great item by the way) for me until I was able to make it to their store front, this was Friday 6-19-20 during the day. They reluctantly held it for me since they have had bad experiences with doing that in the past. I was able to make it down to their storefront the next day Saturday 6-20-20. I was pleasantly greeted and treated very well by who I can only assume was the owner and another employee by the name of Ryan. I asked to look at the cymbal for inspection and it was beautiful. After knowing that I was going to purchase this cymbal I asked to look at a couple of other cymbals as well. While I was inspecting them Ryan asked me what I was looking for, which was imperfections such as cracks and other defects. We had a short conversation about them and then I decided to buy the other cymbals as well. Ryan was very helpful and was able to help me out with my purchases. I was spirit led to this beautiful place of business.. I currently have experienced situations we're I needed some financial assistance! I had some jewelry in another pawn shop which is also local , named A & V Pawn , which is located on South Street & Downey Ave . PLEASE DO NOT SPEND UR MONEY OR ASK 4 THEIR ASSISTANCE !! I ONLY HAD THE EXACT DOLLAR AMOUNT 2 GET MY JEWELRY OUTTA THEIR PAWN SERVICE , BUT THEY DEMANDED 4 ME 2 HAVE A FACE MASK & IF I DIDN'T, THEY WOULD SUPPLY ME WITH ONE , BUT NOT 4 FREE!! THAT'S AN ADDITUONAL DOLLAR FEE!! smh !!!! Thats very poor customer service and also shows they do not value their customer's ( ME) !!! So , I paid my dues & RAN OUTTA THERE!!!! I STILL AM CURRENTLY HAVING A MINOR SETBACK N MY LIFE DUE TO CANCER AND GOGGLED THE NEXT CLOSIEST PAWN SHOP 2 GET ANOTHER PIECE OF ASSISTANCE AND ENDED UP IN THIS BEAUTIFUL INVIRONMENT!! EVERYONE n this establishment had the right & positive spirit & attitude !! I normally don’t write reviews but I’m compelled too during COVID-19 I was faced with financial difficulties. I care to this local pawn shop where I was helped by Gary I told Gary the amount I was trying to raise and gave him multiple items now Gary could’ve taken all of my items and give me the amount I was trying to raise but he didn’t do that to me. Gary took one item and gave me the dollar amount that I needed he emphasized with my situation he treated me with respect and dignity. It was easy and hassle free they’re really honest and fair here. I was even told that if I needed a little more time to pay back they would work with me. In a time like this when things are uncertain and everyone is out for self it’s comforting to know that there are still people out there doing good business with integrity and good work ethic.
