I was really looking forward to eating and enjoying my experience at this restaurant and I was unfortunately let down. Our waiter had about 6 -2 customer parties in the restaurant 3 parties were already helped and had food-one party sat at the bar and they were taken care of by the bartender and my party and another were left to sit and help. It took our waiter 5 mins to bring us water and then we waited more to place our order because he decided to help the other party that arrived after us. He took their order gave them everything they needed and we were sitting there waiting. Wondering what was happening. He took a while adding that tables order to his food ordering system. When we finally had our order, I ordered the Chicken Tomahawk and my guest ordered the Pork-chop. The CT was not good. The meal came with chicken on a bed of veggies and mash potatoes but the plate had so much juices from the chicken that the mash potatoes were like soup. The pork chop was not well cooked and we were not asked how we would like our meat cooked. There was an attempt to make the PC medium well but it was pink near the bone only and not straight throughout the meat as is common for a medium well piece of meat. We were not even offered to order dessert or recommended any whiskey’s for our meal. This is Rokka WHISKEY! I did have an opportunity to talk to the GM and he was fantastic at listening. I hope that there are changes to this restaurant in the future. This is a hard industry to thrive in but to thrive you have to at least...
Read moreI came to this location with really high hopes. As a resident of bellflower I thought “what a great addition to the city” I was super let down with one of the servers, she truly truly ruined my time here. The food although was adequate I can’t say that I am a fan of it. I had the country style filet mignon which was not up to par I didn’t not make out what I ate. Not a fan, I can see that this food has potential but not worth it. The atmosphere sucks not lively at all. I feel like this is a young persons nightmare and you would come bring your Americanized parents to sit and talk about stocks. I had such high hopes for this location but immediately was crushed, Natalie was the server. She truly has a bad attitude with everything overall. Came to the table 3 times in the entire time we were here, but when we requested the check she was very prompt to bring it. Really let down with everything and GAYS!!!!!! THERE IS NO BOTTOMLESS MIMOSAS HERE. Never coming back You lost me as a customer and I’m sure you’ve lost and will loose a lot of customers in the further or in the past. I give this a year or maybe even less...
Read moreI've had my share of great meals. But, a great experience is hard to find. This is exactly what my wife and I received when we visited Rokka in Bellflower for the first time. The staff was incredibly welcoming, warm, and friendly. You can tell, they wanted to be there, and they wanted us to be there! Our server, Jocelyn was very friendly and knowledgeable. Mark, was a supreme Mixologist, and dazzled me with knowledge. Informed me that my delicious libation, The Last Word, pre-dated Prohibition. Melissa, a server not assigned to our table, even helped out and was very nice. And Francisco, the Manager dropped by to check on us. Again, these four people just wanted us here. Pure and simple. For the fare, we highly recommend the Sliders and the Seabass. For drinks, The Elijah Craig Old Fashioned is a must! The Blackberry Smash is great for people who love a sweeter drink. And The Paper Plane and The Last Word were epic! If you're looking for a truly memorable experience, bring your loved one(s) to Rokka. We will be regulars for as long as we live...
