Totally blown away by the job that was done. My family and I have bought, lived in and sold seven different homes. Each time we have either installed new floors or refinished what was there. So when the builder installed carpet for my second floor was way past it last legs, I looked around for wood floors installers and went with Floors by the Shore. The job that was just completed by FBTS was amazing. They started by having the wood delivered. FBTS came over to move the delivered wood out of the way so that it wouldn’t be in anyone’s way while it acclimate to the humidity and temperature of my house. A few days later gentlemen came to rip up the carpet and do prep work. They came in time, they were friendly and professional and answered any questions. Each day they let me know when they would be leaving and cleaned up completely. When the actual wood was being installed again, they were in time, they told me approximately how long they would take and cleaned up completely. They consulted me regarding the direction of the wood and the work they did was pure artistry. I tend to be handy and like to do certain work myself because I know I will take the time to do things well. Their work was just amazing. There were no gaps, all the boards were straight and I just couldn’t believe how well put together the board were (keep in mind I’ve been through this seven times already). I am not exaggerating when I say they were true artists. Next came the sanding. Again they arrived in time, we’re very polite and professional let me know how long they’d be and set to work. I couldn’t believe how clean everything was. I had pack away a lot of things in anticipation of dust everywhere, it was unnecessary. They had vacuumed everywhere, even places where I saw no sawdust. They had me inspect their work, And consulted me regarding the stain color by giving me a choice of five stains related to the original one I had chosen earlier. They had different squares on my floor stained so I could see exactly how it would look. After my okay they proceeded to stain the floors and the staircase, which I have to be honest smelled terribly, but no worse than the shelf I had stained myself previously. The stain was well done, it enhanced the wood grain perfectly. They came back four hours later to apply a second coat. The next day the arrived again, on time. They double checked with me regarding the type of finish I wanted, discussed the merits of the different finishes and then proceeded to apply my selection. Twice. They asked me to stay off of the floors for three days to let it cure, which I did. And then they came back on a Saturday to place the furniture back where it belonged. From start to finish this job was done professionally, at the estimate appointment Adam made some great suggestions for things that I would not have thought of, but turned out to give the job a top quality appearance.
