I’d like to start off with how disorganized everything seemed when I first stepped through the doors, but I get that understaffing is an issue everywhere, as I personally work up to 60 hours per week at my job due to a staffing shortage. I was attended to by a girl and asked for a banana milkshake and a medium soft serve cone, and at first she handed the milkshake task over to a what I presume to be a young blonde teenager, and then she sees that they seem to be confused, so she takes the milkshake away from them as if she thinks they are incompetent. What a way to treat a coworker! And then the lowlight of this entire experience is when I asked for Reese’s on top of the cone, and I was met with a snarky, “you can’t put toppings on a cone it’s going to fall right off!”. Wow! I then proceeded to ask “not even a little bit?”, and she continued giving me attitude. Never in my 23 years of living have I EVER had a problem getting toppings on top of a cone! I will surely never come back here again, and I really hope that girl changes her attitude before she gets herself into some...
Read moreHello I just want to say that I think this place is great! All the people saying the owner is terrible doesn’t know what there talking about. He is a good man that teaches young adults about the real world 🌎. He taught me how to count money/change which I still use everyday. I had a similar situation occurr, when my work schedule, interfered with my sports schedule. The owner let’s you pick your OWN HOURS Every week. I technically quit and left on my own but i understand the frustration of trying to institute some form of responsibility on 14 year olds who don’t value work, would rather play sports, not find coverage, exc.... I was let off on multiple occasions. I would have been fired just like the girl, because after you prove yourself untrustworthy in the face of the their business, then you must be fired. Instead of trying to deface and destroy an honest mans business, go find a different job that better fits your schedule. I’m not saying it’s ok the way he text/spoke to her, but this most definitely a re-occurring issue that he was tired of...
Read morestaff was friendly, but the store was ATROCIOUS. there were dead bugs, dust, moldy toppings & ice cream spills all over the counters & window sills. the ice cream barriers were in desperate need of being completely emptied & cleaned out - there was about 3 inches thick sheets of ice on the sides that should not be there! along with the fact that the glass on all of them were completely shattered & covered with tape - that’s not safe because the glass can easily fall into the ice cream! the outside seating areas were also disgustingly dirty causing bugs to swarm us. I opted to just get plain soft serve in a cone rather than my normal blizzard because I did not trust the state & cleanliness of their toppings at this location - unfortunately the ice cream had a disgusting gritty texture with a chemical aftertaste, threw it away after 3 licks! never expected this of DQ, what a waste of...
