Beloit College — Local services in Beloit

It was a nice school, I graduated in 2009, but it didn't prepare me for life. Not at all. It was $36k when I attended, and now they've raised tuition and associated costs to $57k. People, do yourselves and your family a favor, and don't spend that much money on college. Go to a technical school. You can learn more important skills there and don't have to spend $221k on a degree that may, again, may guarantee you a better lifestyle. I really wish I could recommend BC, but with that kind of tuition for the kind of...silly, dissociated, childish bubble the place was...yeah no. Not a chance. Sorry Beloit College. Great professors there like the Russian teachers, the Chinese teacher, the history teacher I had, but frankly the history department (my field) was very conventional or else taught things that don't really interest me (women's studies type stuff). If that's what you like then go for it, but if you are a medievalist, or interested in the Crusades, or interested in Byzantium, I...

Beloit College is one of the finest 4 year liberal arts colleges in the country. This is a place that loves diversity and is thee place a student should go to grow and discover who they are and what is important to them and their life and career goals.

I was a bio major, but almost minored in philosophy, played in the pep band, sang in a choir, belonged to a frat...and made life long friends.

Beloit taught me to think, to feel, to be independent.....taught me love and to...make mistakes .... to grow.

I have a nephew who went to Beloit College as well.

Beloit is a great place not only of learning but of discovery.

If you like a community that fosters diversity....that encourages self awareness....that allows you to try and fail....but try again....and succeed.... Beloit...

My son loves college at Beloit. Smaller classes, professors know their students and challenge them to grow to become the best version of themselves. Great staff, helpful to answer any question asked. From a parents perspective, so many more positives to say, but check it out. It might not be for everyone, but...
