My first experience here at this location was sour, me and my mother were enjoying a day bonding together and she decided to show me around town and bring me thrift shopping at this location. The atmosphere in here was horrible. We asked a lady while weâre shopping if we could open an item that was taped closed together to check for holes. She told us it was not allowed and my mother asked if we could just check at the register and the lady repeated exactly what my mother asked. Once we were done shopping we were in the check out line next in line and the older black gentleman (possibly the manager) he gestured no with his index finger and said uh huâ to my mother as soon as she walked up to the register which was VERY disrespectful. So my mom got back in line with me. Then when the next cashier was available the cashier just stood there staring at us until my mother had to ask HER if we can go up there now. The lady just nodded her head yes. Once we were checking out and inquiring about the item that was tapered together the older gentleman (manager I guess) dismissed my mother and the cashier with the go away hand gesture when we asked about the item. We were very polite and patient regardless of how rude the staff was and considerate of the fact that we did understand that they were closing. On that note they turned the lights off on us twice while we were shopping. Iâm from the Dallas area and came to visit my mother cause we love to thrift shop and have been to several thrift stores and she would always brag about this specific thrift store and has been wanting me to come shopping here for a very long time and unfortunately this location would not be a location I will come to again when...
Read moreAbsolutely racist staff. If you are not a person of color or donât have any skin pigment, you can forget about service. We were completely ignored and dismissed by the employees and the manager. Asked multiple employees with help getting into the dressing rooms and was ignored. They didnât even tell us no. Just ignored us and kept working. We waited until the one person in the dressing rooms was done and quickly tried on clothes. We waited almost 20 minutes to try on clothes in 5 minutes in a rush. We were waiting at the registers at 8:01. One minute past closed where employees continued ignoring us. Until 8:02 when we were like âhey can we please check out?â Where we were FINALLY acknowledged by the staff just to tell us no. They said we could ask the manager, who was one of the employees who saw us waiting for the dressing rooms and ignored us, too. Regardless, we did ask and he refused to talk to us or let us check out. In the office, he also refused to acknowledge us and would not let us check out regardless of payment method. They did not formally announce closure of the store nor did they even check the dressing rooms. Very unprofessional. I worked retail for YEARS and I am very disappointed in the staffing and management at...
Read moreI visited this store a little after 5pm after work which was the opposite direction from my drive home to Temple. There were four other customers shopping and at least three to four employees in the floor. After finding my items I went to the register which had no lines since there were only five customers including myself in the store. All of the lights at each of the three registers were on and there was a sign starting to please wait for a cashier. Well I waited over ten minutes as the only customer in line in clear view of the two employees that were going through the racks in the front of the store. Not a single employee bothered to look up to even see if there was a customer in line and when I finally made eye contact with one employee, she slowly took her time and decided to put a few more items on the rack before making her way towards me even though she could see my frustration from waiting so long. I decided to not spend my money here and I will take my...
