As a business owner and frequent shipper I typically print and mail using my own UPS account. However, on July 12th I was at home and needed to ship a time sensitive package so I hustled over to the local UPS store here in Belton. I paid $65 for a 4.5 pound package 2 day shipping that left out Friday July 13th with a set arrival date of Monday the 16th of July. The package did not arrive to its destination until Wednesday the 18th. This led me to have to pay the company I shipped to an additional $58 to have the item repaired and returned to me next day so I could have it guaranteed back to me by the 20th. THE ACTUAL PROBLEM: I am not unreasonable and do realize their can be logistical problems, but I feel I should not incur the extra cost of those logistics problem when paying for a service. I called and spoke with UPS directly about my refund and was told I would have to go to the UPS store where I paid for the shipping. I came today to the store and requested my refund back onto my business card, the same card that was originally charged. I was told that they would have to do a claim with UPS and then issue me a check for the refund upon the request being approved. This is after being told that I would receive a refund for the error. They said that this would take approximately 2 weeks and a check would be mailed to me. Ridiculous. The manager never left the back of the store. Hell, I have no idea what the man looks like. Instead the employee would walk from counter to the back and back and forth for several trips. THE ABSOLUTE WEIRDEST POINT WAS THEM DISTANCING THEMSELVES FROM UPS THE ENTIRE TIME. They spoke of UPS literally the entire time as if it was just some shipping company, and that a big UPS logo wasnt their sign. Every employee has UPS on their shirt, the UPS logo on the sign, plus it is called a UPS store, yet they deny affiliation. Strange. DO YOURSELVES A HUGE FAVOR AND PRINT AND SHIP DIRECTLY FROM YOUR COMPUTER. Read moreIf I could leave negative stars, I would, and I truly NEVER leave bad reviews on businesses. I've spent $100's in this store shipping over the years for my eBay store and side business. I had to send my wife in this week to ship a single golf club for me. The club was completely wrapped in bubble wrap and included a pre-paid shipping label, and all it needed was a box. I knew she'd have to buy a box (which is already way over priced at $10), but on top of that, they charged my wife $15 just to tape up the box and stick the label on it.
I called the store manager to question the pricing, and she basically just told me they always charge to tape boxes, and then proceeded to tell me to take my business elsewhere if I didn't like the cost. ZERO customer service, and ZERO discussion of why on earth two 12 inch pieces of tape cost $15. In the end, my wife paid $25 to ship a $20 item.
I will never step foot in this location again. The UPS Store in Temple is cheaper for EVERY single supply they sell (the same box there is $8), or do as a service (they've actually taped boxes for me free of charge multiple times).
As suggested by the manager who obviously had zero concern and no desire to be helpful, I will 100% take my business to Temple from now on, and will encourage everyone I know to do the same. I've lived here since 1996, and never had a manager show less concern about their customer.

The store manager and the owner have contacted me and resolved this issue. They did investigate to the fullest to figure out what did/didn’t happen inside the store. They did not see an employee open the box and they tracked it from when I dropped it off until it left the store. I applaud them for that and to make sure i was taken care of and heard. They even went out of their way to make me as the customer feel like they were doing everything they could and through the claims process I was able to get my money back. They didn’t need to do this they could have just told me deal with customer service but the manager Willie kept constant contact with me to rest assure I got my money back. I received a check today that made me whole and further proves the reason why I trusted this store in the first place. I changed my review from 1 to 5 because of the upmost respect and care they took with me to make sure I was happy Willie and the owner really do believe in making their customers happy.
