Bergenfield Public Library — Attraction in Bergenfield

This library is the worst library I have been to. It is just traumatic here. One time I came here in my slippers and took my slippers off and walking and comfortable and they called the police for nothing giving me emotional and mental and psychological turmoil/trauma and police taking me away. On top of it the Indian lady when a friend is with me she is making a big deal of him being with me in the private room. And today she talked to me about my overdue laptop and I said another day. When I asked her to get the private study room she then said I don't know you and sorry that these are the rules and I talked to two other librarians and they just also gave me unpleasantness and turmoil. It was my mentor who said focus and study in the general area.

These guys don't care that I have been living in State of New Jersey Division of Developmental Disability (DDD) group home where I have gone through and still going through abuse and neglect with the food and diet since I am a vegetarian(lacto vegetarian) by not getting a well balanced, nutritious, nourishing and healthy diet where I get all the nutrients and physical assaults by some of the staff and two residents and mistreatment by all staff in general since I came in this house since September 21st,2021. My overall health has degraded as a result. My physical, neurological, mental and emotional and psychological and moral and ethical and social and cultural (Indian) and financial and religious and spiritual health degraded and still degrading.

Bad experience with this library. Picked up 2 books for my baby of months only to read for her at home since it was covid. MY HUSBAND brought the books back and put them in the bins where they requested that all books should be returned as they wanted to clean them first. I stayed in the car watching my husband putting the books to the collection bin. This library started sending me bills for the one books which they said it costs 59 dollars. We came back to the library to get this resolved and we were told that it was resolved. Ever since , I’ve never been back to the library since 2021. I came back today 6/25 , I couldn’t borow any book because I have a bill for a baby book that they claim to cost 59 dollars.This...

I really like coming here because it’s close to my house and I like that it has two floors. It also seems like a well kept library. The reason I am resting it three stars is because there is a librarian here with long gray hair who is just miserable. She yells at the kids for brining food in and also for being too loud (hypocritical). You’re kicking out kids form a library ? So where are they going to go after school ?
