The Rainbow Playroom: Art & Play Studio — Attraction in Bergenfield

I visited The Rainbow Playroom on its opening weekend with my 11 year old twins. I was curious about the art and sensory play. When we first entered we immediately noticed the open space and the walls decorated with work by the little artists before us. I didn't think that my son and daughter would be there as long as they were. I figured they would create their art and we would be on our way. Four hours later they were still actively engaged in something other than an iPad or the Nintendo Switch. Art and sensory play are still meaningful and fun ways to pass the time, who would've thought. The welcoming environment at the community table made it very easy for the twins to actively engage in conversation with the other kids in the playroom. This was particularly surprising for my son who is typically very shy with new places and people. The owner, Leidy was very pleasant and kept the kids engaged while letting them explore on their own. This place is such a rare gem! Rainbow playroom does so many wonderful programs it’s hard to write about them all. My kids love the free play so much. It’s filled with arts and crafts and sensory toys and many set ups, each time we go there is something different for them to explore. The classses have been great also, from the toddler gym class to the older kids lingual class, each one has been so delightful and my kids absolutely love it here. Miss Lilly is very gifted and has a special way with children. I highly recommend this place for open play, classes or a private party. I have known the owner for some time; she was my niece’s kindergarten teacher. I always admired how she would always go the extra mile for the kids and all the effort she put into her classroom.I stayed in touch with her throughout the years and she would always talk about her dream of opening up a creative center for kids from all ages, and so she finally did.
