š¤©š¤©š¤©š¤©š¤© LUMPIA SARIWA: uniquely Filipino vegetarian crepes.
Lightly blanched yet crispy crunchy vegetables that includes strips of heart of palmš.
Complex textures of simply seasoned veggies wrapped in paper-thin tapioca-egg crepes, married together by luscious sauce that fortifies natural Umami flavors of the veggies.
Topped with chopped peanuts the adds new layer of texture.
š¤©š¤©š¤©š¤©š¤© Pakbet: a treasure of Northwest Luzon, a very lovely stew yet Al Dental oriental vegetables simply seasoned with ground peppercorns ⦠and what I thought is plain salt but the owner/cook says itās light fish sauce (simply WOW.

The staf are amongst the most amiable people in the restaurant industry one would ever meet. The cook/owner (I think) makes her rounds talking with diners.
THE MENU IS SHORT, the very sign of mastery of the cook/chef and a clear vision of the owner. Itās the type of menu one could surely explore furthermore in subsequent visits.

Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy family and I came to eat for lunch. We entered from the back of the restaurant. We were seated and the older lady with short black hair was our server. She was not polite but very rude. She did not introduce herself. She seems weeded but there were 4 tables of ppl. We were a party of 4 and she only handed us 2 menus. I decided to walk to the counter and grabbed two other menus. Once Iāve done that, the lady came to us rushing to order. My mother asked if she can give a us minute. While ordering I asked the lady if the have seltzer, she nodded her head no not even looking at me or saying a word. Once our order was place, we waited. The kind man who also was helping was very attentive unlike the older lady. Our food came and one of the food order was wrong. My mother order lechon but the lady order crispy pata. There is a difference even though theyāre both pork. We tried to get the older lady attention and not once she came to our table. Not even to see if we are okay or need anything. She was very attentive to certain tables. We felt ignored and not a welcome costumer. Food was good but the service was terrible. I asked for the box to go and the billed. She took her time and we were the only table left in the room but yet she looked at us. I was getting very annoyed and got up to asked her if there was a problem with our check? Once I said that she automatically run the credit card then proceeded to cross the amount and put a new amount. I asked her why did she do that? Thinking she charged me extra for no reason. She didnāt explain anything to me before hand, except when she ran the credit card thereās a surcharge. As a former server, I never experienced or treated costumers the way she...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy family and I had a hearty lunch today at Bamboo Grill. We enjoyed our meal comprising of the delicious grilled liempo, tasty kare-kare & pinakbet, savory bulalo, crunchy lechon kawali (a bit bland though) and pampano. There wasn't a long wait for the food. Adding to our enjoyment of the meal was the familiar music of the 80s being played in the background. Someone was celebrating a birthday and a birthday song was played for her. Heartwarming, right?
The resto is now located on the second floor unlike before when it was in the ground floor. Upon entry, one is met by the spaciousness of the diner, thanks to its ceiling to wall mirror. An attractive feature, I should say. Its restroom is clean. And not only does it have handwashing soap, it also has lotion - a kind gesture especially for customers like me whose hands get dry after washing with soap.
When it comes to service, BG has topnotch service provided by Anton, Ella and its owner Lito de Guzman. They were accommodating and they serve their dining customers with a smile and a...
