Horchata Tortilla Chips with Salsa Sopes Fried Pork Burrito Pasta Di Mare
Located along the Washington Avenue strip is a local restaurant that specializes in authentic Mexican cuisine.
The colorful, lively atmosphere is impressive and adorned with lots of wall art; even the booths have attractive decorations.
Horchata: It was hard to make a choice, but I decided to explore the horchata. This refreshing drink with a hint of cinnamon and vanilla hit the spot!
Tortilla Chips with Salsa: Prior to the main course, I was chowing down on delicious tortilla chips with homemade salsa. If you enjoy tortilla chips, you are going to love what’s next.
Sopes: These open face corn tortillas have a crunchy bottom. Hidden underneath the sour cream and cilantro are proteins. A few of the meat options are Mexican sausage, steak, or pork.
Don’t be shy with the green sauce if you want an extra kick or squeeze some lemon if you prefer a bright, tangy flavor.
Fried Pork Burrito: All of the toppings are packed into a 12-inch flour tortilla. This looks so beautiful I was in awe by its appearance alone. It is filled with fried pork, rice, beans, guacamole and all the other trimmings.
Pasta Di Mare: As a bonus, this location also sells Italian dishes.
Do you “see” all of this seafood? Check out the variety of marine life including calamari, mussels, clams, and shrimp over linguine.
All of this classic marine life is served over linguine.
Also included Is a side of garlic bread. If you want some extra flavor, feel free to dunk away.
It was truly an authentic experience dining in this Mexican restaurant.

Read moreDisappointment in service. I think the waitress had a problem with my family, because not everyone was Spanish, we were a mixed family. The waitress knew we primarily spoke English and still... She at first spoke perfect English to me and then when the rest of family finally arrived, she simply ignored us. We had to wait over an hour to get our food. OVER AN HOUR! The place was moderately busy, and I saw so many others get their food before us. Literally, the food plates were passing us by! Not sure what happened with this waitress, but she seriously did not attend to us. There was no apologies or explanations of why. The only reason we had our order finally COOKED, was because the owner (super nice lady) realized we were waiting with absolutely NO FOOD. In the end, the waitress printed our check, IN SPANISH. Although I am of Spanish descent, I unfortunately read poorly in Spanish. This was a first for me, where I had to translate my own bill. Aside from this treatment, the food was excellent. Authentic Mexican, appreciated the amazing menu they had to offer. Restaurant was clean and decor was outstanding. My family and I will definitely go back, but definitely will be requesting a...
Read moreI ordered online for pick up and at the end of the transaction the page advised to call the restaurant to confirm the order. Found out the online ordering wasn't working. I ordered 4 tacos and a papaya shake for myself and a chicken quesadilla for my wife. The tacos were full of fat. After two bites into my first taco i was pulling out chunks of fat. After the 4 tacos i had enough fat set aside to make another taco. If we are doing this to save money just charge me more and give me good tacos. i don't understand how the owner is allowing this to be served.
Overall If you are hungry and your have no other choice then this is an okay option. I don't know how they managed to keep a 4 star review when they serve those kind of tacos. The papaya shake was good. The quesadilla was good. The lady that helped on the phone was pleasant and the picking up at the restaurant went smoothly with their employees being friendly...
