Baron Art Tattoo & Piercing Studio — Attraction in Berkeley

I called Baron Art Tattoo & Piercing on Tuesday morning hoping to get a same day appointment or walk in to memorialize my beloved dog, Blossom, who passed on Sunday.

They were quick to answer and very willing to make Blossom’s paw print permanent for me. The ‘stencil’ was an actual print that I had given myself after she passed. They had me send the photos over via text message & gave me a quote within five minutes.

Once we got to the shop, we were greeted by the front desk & our artist, Tarik. He got his station ready while I filled out the consent form. My boyfriend was also with me and was on the fence about getting the tattoo since it would be his first. Tarik was kind enough to let him feel how the needles would be on his leg. My boyfriend said he wanted it & Tarik was more than willing to do it after mine.

Tarik was very professional but also so personable that we were able to open up to him about Blossom. He also mentioned that one of the shop’s artists, Nana, specializes in animal portraits.

I recently got a custom-designed zen circle design tattoo on my left forearm with highly detailed flowers and shading from Peko at Baron Art Tattoo & Piercing Studio. Peko is phenomenal! She is incredibly skilled with a high level of attention to detail and the tattoo is a carbon copy of her design. She is very professional, and I felt taken care of throughout the process. The shading and line work is superb. So far the tattoo has healed wonderfully as they use a second skin covering before you leave as well as instructions on further care. I also got a free touch up within 6 months to make sure everything heals properly. The process took about 5 hours, but I was comfortable throughout. The shop was clean and professional with a chill vibe. Everyone there was friendly and accommodating. Even when I had difficulty with Zelle, for payment, they were patient and understanding. I can’t recommend this place enough! I had a great experience with my tattoo artist Peko, who carried out my vision perfectly. I also got my dream piercing here, which is a super tricky floating placement. I’ve had lots of piercers immediately say my anatomy made the piercing too difficult to attempt, and lots of piercers who sped through my previous appointments. But the staff here (Lily) was super patient in trying to work out exactly what I wanted, and it was overall one of the best piercing experiences I’ve had.
