Don't waste your time selling here!! I went in with a bin full of designer women's clothing and was "helped" which felt more like (stared at) by the rudest, anti-social store clerk probably EVER. Which I remember her name as (Kiara). A lighter skinned, heavy-set young lady with an unwelcoming demeanor. To start-off, good customer service always greets with a smile. Anywho, when I came in I stated my business and was directed to a kiosk to sign-in. This didn't take long maybe about two minutes tops. However, I was the only person in line and the same girl (Kiara) who JUST told me to sign-in, looks and me and still ask if its my name? Moving on she had me place the items on the counter and instead of saying, "I'll place the items here for keeps or goes". She just starts refolding stuff in a pile as I'm handing things over. Like, okay, do you want it or no? after going through at least 40 items she picked 4 pieces. A print dress, jean jacket, and two pair of designer boots barely worn. Which I had to show ID to get an offer of $25? LOL, they would have gotten that just off the jacket. I ask why more of the heavier fall/winter clothes weren't selected and she points to a graphic list of items of interest. Which were clearly fall/winter ware, which I had. I pointed out a few pieces that matched the list and got a whole bunch of yeah/but answers. For example: if a sweater dress has a bit of lint its a NO? WOW. I suggest just selling online and make deals...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis review is long overdue. I have been selling clothes, shoes, and accessories at this Berkeley store for as long as I can remember. For the last 5 years, Berkeley Crossroads has been a safe haven for me, a place where I can go when I need to pay my bills or find myself in a financial pickle. The women who work here, from the cashiers to the buyers, all the way up to the manager, are absolutely fabulous. The entire staff, including the security guard, are outstanding people. Baha, Madelyn, Rae, Ava, Nicolina, and Erin, are lovely people, inside and out. The times that I have stopped by this store, either to sell or shop, I have always been able to leave with some great pieces. I especially love how unique and one-of-a-kind their pieces are, from the vintage-inspired dresses and coats to the whimsical accessories. Plus, the people who work here all have wonderful personalities, style, and attitudes. I am embarrassed to show my face at this store because I have sold items at this store more times than I can count. And each and every time, these beautiful women have welcomed me with warmth, kindness, understanding, and a smile. This clothing store is Berkeleyās best kept secret. I wish the New York Times could write an article on how outstanding this store is, but I am worried that if this were too happen, that the lines to sell and shop at this store would stretch for blocks away. The Universe continue to bless this store and the beautiful people...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreSeller experience: It was a waste of time and not worth it at all. Left with feeling annoyed. I have given Crossroads 3 tries, NEVER AGAIN.
aprx 2 hrs wait time only accept 8% of items I brought in. The selection criteria is still a mystery to me at all Crossroads locations. I brought in Boss, CK, Guess, Zara, Karl Lagerfeld, and other premium brands; almost all under 1 years old. Only a 6 were accepted (mainly Guess brands). the buyer cashier didnāt check-in whether I accept the trades she offered, just went ahead placing their price tags on the items. I was offered a cash out for $38 total, in which an item would be priced at $20 to be on the storeās rack.
I left feeling cheated. Iād rather hands over to those who in need than enable these stores making money off people like me, thinking about giving clothes 2nd life and helping others. The rich keeps...
