It took me a long time to find a church home. After a painful experience in a different place, I felt very judged and disenchanted, stopped going to church for years and went through a period of questioning. I eventually began trying out different places again, but none of them felt “right”. I tried various denominations, different churches within denominations, considered non-Christian religions, you name it.
As a animal lover, I took notice that this church has an animal welfare ministry. Intrigued by this, I decided to give Christ UMC a try. I’ve now been coming here for a couple of years and feel more at home in a church than I can ever remember being. The people are open and welcoming to everyone, the pastors are great, volunteer and community-oriented opportunities abound and the messages never fail to speak to my heart.
