Where do I even begin. I rented a carpet cleaner from this Home Depot on 7/3. This included a refundable deposit, carpet solution, and then I would be charged for the amount of time I rented it out. First off, the cleaner lifted maybe 50% of the stain. When I returned it the next day, the girl working said "yeah they don't really work". Love that. She was kind enough to refund me for the solution and told me my deposit would be refunded in the next few business days. Fast forward a few weeks later, no refund. Called my bank. No refund.
First attempt at calling Home Depot. The girl working had no idea what was going on, so I was transferred to the manager who was kind (I wish I remembered his name). He asked if we could do a gift card and I said no I never shop there and I'm owed the deposit from the original form of payment (says on the contract). He said corporate can send a check. So I gave him all my info. He told me It would arrive within the next 2 weeks. 4 weeks later, nothing. Called Home Depot. I was told I'd get a call back in the afternoon. Nothing. Called again a few days later and spoke to a "Customer Experience Manager" named Joshua.
The "Customer Experience Manager" (hilarious) Joshua, was terrible. Dollar General type of customer service. He told me that the policy is no refunds only gift cards. I said right, for things people buy in the store and want to return. This is a deposit that is owed to me. I asked about my check from corporate and he said they don't do that. He clarified that wasn't the policy and that can't happen. Okay, so why did the manager go through all of that if that wasn't policy? He just sent me a gift card and told me to dispute the charge.
This is terrible customer service all around. I realize many people don't want to work these days but you have to find competent people to run your business. Otherwise, don't open one.
That is all. Thank you Chase for crediting my money...
Read moreThis place must be haunted by the souls of former Hills employees, the store that used to fill this store. I don't know if I've ever experienced a Home Depot like this one. First off let's discuss the building, it's in a mall Home Depot is on the fist floor with Michaels and Babies R Us, Kohls and Burlington Coat Factory are on the second. The layout of this store is very unique. Most home Depots are layed out about the same. This one does not follow that pattern. We asked for help at the register and in the middle of our sentence the lady who was looking directly at us the whole time and watched us walk up to her turned around and started talking to another employee. After she finished with her conversation we had to again ask her for help as this was the first time we were seeing her. She called the department responsible for making keys and was hung up on twice. After the person decided to show up he walked right past us even though I said hi and walked over to the person standing behind us. That person said we were first and he still tried to help him after that man said again we were first he said oh I thought you were together. We gave him the first set of keys and in the meantime the other person went away when the employee turned back around he started looking for the other person, he then asked us where he went at this point I was already annoyed and I think I said something like I don't care where he went. After he finished the first set of keys he refused to hand them to my wife even though she was much closer. She then gave him the second set, after he finished those he again refused to hand them to her he gave me the copies, I handed them to her then he gave me the original, I again handed them to her. Very strange man. When we told the people we were staying with about this they agreed the hated this location and refuse to shop her too because of...
Read moreOut of all the Home Depot's I've been to this one is definitely the friendliest and most attentive to the customer without being pushy. I've had really great interactions with most departments in this store, and unlike the one in West Mifflin, they're not trying to just get rid of you, or flat out ignore you.
So shutouts: Lurch in paint is such a good man, very kind, very caring and knows what he's talking about... actually everyone in paint has been. I'm not sure the hispanic guys name but he's great too, and the last time I was here, a young lady helped me out and she was great as well. Like this is a top-notch department.
Don K in flooring is great, he's just someone you wanna hang out with, helped me a few times with carpeting and was mindful that I had a smaller car, the care he took in how to wrap up the flooring was noticed, I'll be coming back fro more.
I'm not sure the gentlemen name in Electric, but very helpful, asking if I need anything, I said no, but he was there and let me know to holler if I needed him, I watched him help others and just an overall good dude.
The cashiers over by self checkout always helpful., Just kind!
Ive been to so many Home depots and some people just wanna "look busy" to help, or like really don't care. I cant tell how many times Ive just stared at product not sure what the hell and people just walk by, like excessively walk by. I do like to be left alone, but sometimes I do have a question. Anyways, great store. The only downside is that it is a smaller store, but funny enough I've had to come here for things that other stores ran out of so...
