Bexley Village — Attraction in Bexley

I have lived here for the past two years and have seen the price for the apartments continue to increase without any changes or improvements to the property. The location of the apartments is not the safest. There is a lot of homeless and open drug use that goes on nearby. I never felt fully safe living here. The property is always littered with trash, food, and dog poop. The apartments are an old build with not a lot of room and extremely squeaky floors. The bathrooms are also unbelievably small. So if you’re a tall or bigger person, this wouldn’t be for you. The bugs are also an issue. The apartments doors are properly sealed so cold/hot air and bugs are always getting through. The area we lived had a light pole that never worked for the entire 2 years. We asked multiple times to have it fixed because of how scary and dark it would get, but nothing was ever done. This was a good first apartment for us but if they were asking us to pay the price they are asking now, there is noooo way I would live here (we payed $900 in 2022). You can get a cheaper apartment in a better area of Columbus with way better amenities. The only good thing about this apartment was the bike path and dog park, but there were moments where I felt unsafe walking in that back area. Lived here for over 2 years, and would definitely consider staying for longer. The maintenance has always been the quickest to react, any of my requests are usually fixed within 1 day. It is located in Bexley, which is a RITA municipality (for any of you who care about paying taxes), so be expected to pay extra to live here. You do get a Bexley police surveillance in return, safety and not having to worry if your car will be stolen or not. The pool is filled with people in the summer, but for anyone who complains about it, what else would you expect? On a good note, it is drained every season and refilled with fresh water every year to keep it sterile (not many complexes to that). Bexley Village is very quiet at night, calm during the day. Bexley Village is a very nice place to live. From the very start, the property manager Andrea made everything easier for me. The staff here addresses everything super quickly- and in a friendly professional manner. I have become part of the whole community of tenants, management and staff. Mark tries to do everything in his power to take care of service calls quickly, and when he says that he appreciates us, the community/ tenants- his actions prove it. The feeling is more happy family here than i ever expected. I am grateful that I moved here, to be close to my kids, as well as the surrounding areas. If i have to live in columbus area, i truly VERY HAPPILY choose where I am at Bexley Village. If you are considering trying to live here, my own personal experience has been 5-star...
