I ate a delicious meal recently [6-14-2022] at Brassica [Bexley].
I had been planning to attend a concert that day in the Gloria Dei Worship Center [at Trinity Lutheran Seminary at Capital University] so I had decided [earlier that day] that I would eat at Brassica [Bexley] before walking across the street so that I would be able to attend that concert.
The electric power in my neighborhood had gone off several hours earlier; thankfully, Bexley had had electric power the entire time while I had been there [except that the Gloria Dei Worship Center had turned off its air conditioning in an effort to reduce the load on the power grid].
Entering Brassica [Bexley] and finding the beginning of the food ordering line had been far more complicated than I would have expected.
I first entered the vestibule from the parking lot and automatically attempted to open the door on the right side of the vestibule only to discover that that door has no handle. The only remaining option in that vestibule had been to use the door on the left side; I successfully opened the left door and entered the restaurant.
There had been two large planters preventing me from being able to easily enter the dining room so I squeezed between the two planters so that I would be able to enter the dining room. As soon as I had entered the dining room, I figured out that I had been at the wrong end of the food ordering line.
After a brief consultation with a staff member [at the wrong end of the food ordering line], I returned to where I had initially entered the restaurant by squeezing myself [again] between the two large planters and then walked north [rather than south] from the left door of the vestibule.
I thereby successfully found the beginning of the food ordering line [that I now know is located in the extreme northwest corner of the restaurant].
Ordering my food at Brassica [Bexley] had been efficient. I first decided whether I wanted a salad or a sandwich; I then decided which protein I wanted, I then decided which additional items I wanted.
The food at Brassica [Bexley] is delicious. Now that I have figured out how to find the beginning of the food ordering line, I am certain that I will return to Brassica [Bexley] the next time when I...

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Brassica in Bexley, Columbus, and I must say, it was an absolutely delightful experience! This Mediterranean gem left me craving more with their incredible vegetarian and no -vegetarian wraps and irresistible fries.
Let's start with the wraps. The moment I took my first bite, I was transported to the vibrant streets of the Mediterranean. The flavors burst with authenticity and freshness, perfectly capturing the essence of the region. Whether you opt for the classic falafel wrap or venture into their succulent shawarma options, every bite is a harmonious medley of spices and ingredients. The fillings were generous and expertly balanced, making each wrap a true masterpiece.
And oh, those fries! They were simply out of this world. Crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and seasoned to perfection. These fries were a delightful accompaniment to the wraps, adding an extra layer of satisfaction to the meal. I couldn't resist savoring every last one of them.
Apart from the exceptional food, Brassica also impressed me with its warm and inviting atmosphere. The staff members were friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive, making sure my dining experience was memorable. The restaurant itself exudes a cozy ambiance, with its tasteful decor and comfortable seating arrangements.

Read moreUpdate: I have changed my review from 3-stars to 5-stars because Brassica has grown on me...big time. (I may be addicted.) Brassica may be pricier than other places, but their food is also far better than its peer restaurants. The meals are always fresh and consistently delicious. It certainly justifies the slight price difference.
On top of that, they employ a large group of diverse young people which is some change I can believe in - It’s nice to see young folks from different backgrounds working together to make this place run smoothly and I appreciate that the staff reflects the diversity of the city. And the customer service is top notch.
It’s money well spent. Here, Brassica, take all my money! 👏🏽

The good: The food is delicious, the location is brilliant, and the decor is beautiful. Biodegradable plasticware is a nice, thoughtful touch - I appreciate a conscientious business.
[Ignore everything below this line. I clearly had no idea what I was talking about.]
The bad: The service is very slow — I can’t imagine them during a rush — and the prices are too high for what you ultimately get (I got a salad). I’ve lived in a way pricier city where a larger, Greek-style salad with similar high-quality, uniquely-prepared ingredients cost me about the same.
The weird: The tables (at least the ones by the entrance) are bolted way too close to the benches. I wonder what contractor suggested that distance - hardly seems standard.
I am glad this restaurant exists - it’s cute and the food is delicious. But I probably won’t come all that often because the portion size just doesn’t justify the price, not to mention the long wait. I think this would be a once-in-a-while snack place, but not my new go-to place unfortunately. It’s tasty - that...
