♿️ Everything about this trail is accessible, from the crosswalks to the sidewalks and bridges. There are even ramps up to the tables. The green landscaping was beautiful and there were the fledgling trees that will be amazing as they grow. The further you go, the more you'll find. If you look up, you'll see the taller buildings of downtown and it's quite a contrast against all the green landscaping. There are 2 tunnels that provided much needed shade from the blistering heat of midday. Went at the wrong time of day for sure. There was a slight breeze and it really helped. At the end, are a few places to grab a drink or meal, but no place with a walk up window to get a water. It was very hot. There are sculptures everywhere and right at the end is a table meant to be shared by all the community. We continued on and walked part of the Hugh Kaul trail. There are young trees that provide no shade but will in a few years. The sun was high and it was the heat of the day. I love graffiti art and if you do too, you'll find it here. I'm excited to see what they continue with the blue design on the Hugh Kaul. Will finish it at night because it is a lit trail and I want to see the sculptures on that trail that are light up at night. There are plenty of new apartments being built all along one side. I'm excited about all these new places to walk that were there but just wasted space. It's 12 blocks total to get to where you see Sloss furnace. 24 to walk back. The entirety is ♿️ accessible. Easy to walk. Level for those with mobility issues. I added some photos of what you'll see along the way. I have also found the parking spot for scooters and the bicycle repair stations. Beautiful trail, excellent landscaping, a must visit if you haven't been yet.

This is a very nice trail in a great location. I was out around 8am and the weather was perfect. I like how they have painted the sides of buildings and created sculptures along the way. They also have tables and seating all throughout the beginning of trail. There is also a siting area at the historic site near the end of trail. As a cycler the trail is much too short. I road through downtown to obtain mileage. It was nice to have a change of scenery; trail. I highly recommend using this trail!!

This is a very nice walking area. It's very pleasing to the eyes and I felt safe the whole time. There are a lot of pretty flowers and birds to sit and enjoy. There's also some little play areas for kids. They have tables and chairs to eat and relax. Overall, this is a nice place to relax or even get some exercise walking or biking.

This was a really cool feature to come across! There was an incredibly bad storm in the area and I was able to wait it out underneath the bridge. There was a skate park, picnic areas, walking paths, pickle ball courts, and more. I was able to do interviews for my Mental Health Tour I am working on.

Relaxing atmosphere with plants and flowers all around. There are several benches to stop and relax. Has solar powered station to charge your phone. This section is about a half-mile long.

This is a really cool walking trail conveniently located on the south side of downtown Birmingham. The scenery is nice and maintained very well. I look forward to going here again.
