All I can say is what a wonderful store you find anything you need and all good and brand names. You walk in there is someone to greet you with a smile . Best part is trustworthy people . I walked I. With my black diamond trekking poles I recently purchase and they were acting funny locking system wasn’t working Owner of this place John he grabbed ten and watch several instructional videos he fix the problem before . I couldn’t take the risk to go hike with them to Mount Whitney i purchased a new one . Nowadays it’s hard to find local caring business owner maybe other stores and markets they should take some lessons from this establishment and any question you have they have knowledge to help you out . Better than visitor center .Thanks for being here and serving us guys I appreciate both of you John and Christian

Our group of five, three sibs(mid to upper 50s), one nephew(31), and one niece(21), arrived at store July 14, after talking to John by phone earlier that week regarding crampon rentals and snow axes. He was very friendly and knowledgeable about alpine hiking gear and self care tips to make our go of Whitney in one day (July 15), a safe, satisfying and successful adventure. We picked up a few other essentials while browsing the store inventory. Hiking in high elevation is no joke. We’ve been preparing for months. The store employees each time we were there were helpful and welcoming. Tell John we cramponed up and took the chute down. Thank you!

Jon at Lone Pine Elevation is amazing. The town of Lone Pine attracts hikers to Mt Whitney the tallest mountain in the lower 48 States. Jon was a wealth of local information. We were just passing through on our motorcycle heading to Yoesimite. Since we enjoy hiking we stopped in to check out the shop. Talking to him reinforced the desire to come back for a second visit and stay awhile. Great place to buy your hiking gear!

We stopped in here around 8pm at night to discuss our travel plans and figure out how to get the most out of our one day in The Eastern Sierras the next day. John was super helpful in talking some sense into us about our rather ambitious ideas of what we could do. He took the time to help us map out a plan for us and encouraged us to come back to CA at a later date to explore the Sequoias. He was so right in encouraging us to spend time in the Alabama Hills and take time to get know the area we were staying in rather than road-tripping all over the place for a day. I can’t recommend this place enough for people looking for great advice on their hiking adventures and travel plans. Thanks again John. Eastern Sierras are very special and I’ll always remember the quiet time we spent in the Alabama Hills during our...

I purchased a pair of Salomon boots. 2 days on the JMT, an eyelet cracked and I was unable to lace them properly. As soon as I got off the trail (less than a week) I went back to the store to see if they could assist me with the warranty (which is exactly what the Salomon website says to do). They refused to help and told me to contact Salomon directly. They had no issues selling me a pair of $254 boots but when I needed help, they didn't have the time. I wasn't asking for a refund, just assistance. This is horrible customer service. This is a store that is outfitting serious adventurers and should be there to make sure these types of issues are handled promptly. You cannot count on them. Make sure to get outfitted...
