Now, this place is awesome. The walking trail that goes around the lake isn't very long so it's definitely a great place to just take a short stroll, I personally didn't even plan on going all the way around but did on accident. I thoroughly enjoyed the scenary and bridge-like feature on the trail. I came here to do some fishing but sadly had no luck what-so-ever. I'm sure it gets stocked by the Minnesota DNR during sometime in the summer/spring due to there being an observation platform over the water, and a placard of what is supposedly in the body of water found here. The placard itself claims there are both bluegil and crappie in the small lake. So I would recommend checking the MNDNR website for stocking information if you plan on getting a line...
Read moreThis park is enjoyable for both disc golfers and those wanting a nice walk. The disc golf holes goes around the outside loop of the park and there are 2 additional loops for people to walk on. One bonus loop goes around the lake, with several entry points for dogs to go swimming. The second bonus loop goes up a hill and is surrounded by prairie. Regardless of where you choose to walk there are numerous benches. In the winter the paths are pretty well cleared.
At the main entrance there is a pavillion and several trash cans. Dogs under verbal control or on leash are welcome. Many people enjoy taking their dogs here and for the most part try and be respectful of other people and dogs walking.
