DO NOT have home Depot do ANY construction installs on your home. I have now been waiting 6 months for a new set of counters to be installed as the company installing the 1st set of new ones dropped and broke them and the pre installed sink. In this process they damaged brand new interior finishes to my home that I have been going back and forth with their insurance company about, who then denied the insurance claim stating that us the homeowners "bumped into the countertop", which is a lie from the installer to save his own a**. First and foremost, the homeowner should never have had to be involved with the countertop install, but when we heard the banging and crashing going around upstairs we decided to come up and see what was wrong.. When we initially instructed the installer the counter had to go through the front window as it wouldn't make the corner in the entry way which he chose to ignore he set the countertop down between the front door and my front steps and walked to his vehicle leaving the counter unattended and not secured to anything and it fell. Currently I do not have a new countertop. I am out over $1,000 in damages to my home and I'm being expected to pay full price for the countertops still. We're also just expected to trust the same company to come back in, Do another install and Hopefully not damage anything else in my home because again I will be held responsible with the cost of repairs judging how their insurance company handled the first go around of this mess.
Long story short I've now spent about 8k, and will be out 4 days of work for a countertop replacement worth maybe 3500. DO NOT trust home Depot with your construction/ remodel project, save yourself the headache and money and hire a trustworthy company directly.
Do not let their response on this post fool you again for me. It was a dead end. They have done nothing and they are going to continue to do nothing to fix the issue that...
Read moreWe just left the Blaine store off of 35w today 5/22/22 at 2:00p. We tried to return an unopened Troy lawn trimmer. We told the 1st lady that my wife bought the wrong item, a trimmer and not a lawnmower. All we wanted to do was exchange this item for a lawnmower which are consideably more expensive. We stated that we bought the item 3 weeks ago and we had lost the receipt.
She then said she will need an i.d for a return. Wife pulls out her i.d the the cashier say to my wife " just so u know i system will alert us once we run your i.d if your are making too many returns" !!.... Really ? Wth do u mean by this. She then said she cant do the return. I/ we ask to speak to a mnager.
Manger comes and says she cant return it that the "system wont let her" . I said again " This is a brand new item in and unopened box and never used that was bought from HD, sinnce when do i need a receipt for an exchance". She then says to come home and look for the recipt. Then asks where did we by the item from. Then asks us why did we by it from way over there !! Then tell us to take it back to that store.
By now me and my wife are pisssed and ask her to show us the policy where it says we need a recipt to exhange an un used unopened item. The manager says she doesnt need to show us anything. Other customers were appaled as well.
Needless to say we left before things got out of hand.
Did all of this happned because i am a Hispanic male and my wife is African American ??!!
Stay away from this racist store !!
There was so much more offensive things said but its just too much to write on here

Read moreI feel like if you sell appliances and offer Installation, you should send qualified people, not people with such limitations. And I feel like they don’t really care because you’ll likely end up keeping the appliance anyway. My wife and I spent a couple of hours researching and choosing a dishwasher to replace our old one. After selecting the one we wanted, we purchased it, paid for install and a 5 year warranty. Scheduled delivery and installation. Delivery guys were supposed to remove the old one and one look at it and said a plumber needs to unhook it and we will have to schedule a time to pick up the old one. Plumber comes the next day and says he can’t touch it as he has restrictions on what he can do. So we had to hire a plumber from a local place to install it. Why send people with such limitations? What is the point in that? This caused a lot more wait time when it could have been done when expected. And then we had to go back and get money back for what they didn’t do. Next time, I will be going to a place that sells appliances as their primary inventory because I bet they will have installers that don’t have such limited “policies”. When I called the new plumber to make an appointment, they laughed at how ridiculous this was. Very disappointed and should have made them come get it for a full return and purchased somewhere else. Do better Home Depot. Do what you say and don’t waste peoples time. Be upfront about how limited they are when you’re selling the items, not when it’s been delivered and the...
