Privé Event Spaces — Attraction in Bloomfield

⚠️ Warning: Extremely unprofessional service! Despite booking over a year in advance for my daughter’s Sweet Sixteen, Prive Event Spaces failed to deliver what was promised, including decoration, a smoke machine, and a slideshow with her photo. The manager yelled at the DJ and catering supervisor, and the party was cut short, causing stress and disappointment for everyone. Do not trust this venue for large or formal events.

⭐ 1/5 I booked Prive Event Spaces in Bloomfield, NJ over a year in advance for my daughter’s Sweet Sixteen on September 27, 2025. From the start, there was a significant lack of organization and professionalism.

The package included decoration, a smoke machine, a stand and glasses for the toast, extra plates, and a slideshow with my daughter’s photo on the projector, but none of these were delivered as promised. The decoration they did provide was not what we agreed upon, the smoke machine did not work properly and had to be removed by the DJ, and the main table was placed in front of the bathroom, leaving it bare except for a white tablecloth.

The day of the event, they opened the doors late, while guests were already arriving and decorations were still incomplete. It was heartbreaking to see a year of planning turn into chaos and stress.

The most upsetting part was that the manager yelled aggressively at the DJ and catering supervisor in front of everyone and then ordered the party to end at 10:50 PM, even though the contract clearly stated the event would run until 12:00 AM. His behavior was inappropriate and caused tension among guests and staff.

Despite this, my team and I worked hard to save the party. Everything that looks nice in the photos—robots, TVs, fireworks, orchestra, catering, etc.—was brought and paid for by me, not by the venue.

Additionally, they did not return my candelabras and falsely claimed that they had.

In my experience, this venue is not prepared for large or formal events, and the staff’s treatment of clients is unprofessional. I do not...

Use this space for a NYE party and it was enough space for my group of less than 20 people. I was on the B side. There is not parking lot, however my guests were able to park on the near by streets. If I had questions which I think I had 1 before the start of the event and 1 during the owners had quick response times. As well came before the event just to do a quick if we needed anything. They have a lot of add ons to make your event one smoothly.

The event space has two sides so you can have both or one side. There were people having an event on the other side. Once we got our music place they were barely noticeable unless they had loud outbursts which was a few.

The B side had a mirror that everyone loved and took pictures in and had an enough space to have my tables and then an area for pictures.

They cut the speakers off 1 hour before your time is up. You will be paying for that last hour with the speakers being withheld from you. The code they gave us to open the door didn’t work. They told us They would let us play music till 12:30 Then came back 10 mins later and said never mind they were shutting it off at 12. They held our deposit for an incident that happened down the street outside of the contract hours. To specify, we had the place till 1 AM speakers cut off at 12 and they held a deposit for something that happened down the street from there place at 1:20 am.
