Absolutely horrible experience on Mother’s Day. We ordered out and was told it would be about 45 minutes for delivery. An hour and a half later food hadn’t arrived so we call in to check on it and was told that it was out for delivery. A half hour later, two hours after we ordered, we still hadn’t received our food so we call back and are told the food was delivered. When we told the girl that we did not receive our order she told us the delivery guy must have delivered it to the wrong place. After expressing how displeased we were because it was now 9pm on a Sunday night and we were very hungry, she hung up on us. We called back and the phone repeatedly went to voicemail. Then she would pick up the phone randomly and when questioned why she hung up she acted like she couldn’t hear us and would hang up again. That led to her BLOCKING our number. We called from our other number and the same thing, hung up and blocked. HOW is this restaurant still in business? I called another location asking for the manager, was told I would get a call back and surprise surprise, I didn’t. I was able to get back in touch with the Bloomfield location and told them I want a refund, she told me it would take 3 days. Well, a full week later and still don’t have my money back. Left another message for the manager but I don’t expect to be hearing back from her. Disappointing because I enjoyed their food and it was one of the only places I could order out from due to diet restrictions because of breast feeding. Read moreThe food is great. A nice "heathy" alternative to all the fast food around. They have an authentic vibe & atmosphere, albeit a tiny location with little room to park in the back on a Friday night.
However, they really need to work on their customer service. A smile or a "hey how can I help you?" goes a long way.
I ordered for pick up through Grubhub. My order was supposed to be ready by 10:40 & when I never got the notification saying it's ready, I headed to the location & got there around 10:55PM. I waited a full 10 min in front of the cashier & who I assume is the owner - who really seemed like he was just watching & observing, which is strange considering I stood there for 10 minutes and no one asked me what my name was, if I was there to pick up, nothing. It's as if I was blended into the wall paint.
After they seemed to clear out the influx of delivery drivers waiting to get their delivery orders, that's when the cashier said "are you ordering?" I get being stressed at work & having your manager watching you and not helping, but maybe an apology - or in the very least "hi, how can I help you?"
I guess she sensed my disappointment & gave me the fresh squeezed lime juice on the house. That's the only plus. My food, this time, was cold, but I will still give the food 4 stars because it USUALLY is good.
I will chalk it up to being a busy Friday night but please look up some customer service videos on Youtube & utilize empathy, communication, and conflict-resolution...
Read more12/08: I put in an order at 5:27pm. At 6:30 I call to find out where my order is. The lady tells me “oh, it’s on the way”. Mind you I live less than a mile from this establishment. I called again at 7 o’clock and she tells me that the guy does his delivery based on order number… How on earth does that make sense? Why don’t you do it by location and the closest place to you? They offer no coupon or anything for this extremely late order.
I call again at 7:15 and ask for a refund to cancel the order.
THIS IS TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. I totally get that the person who answers the phone is not the boss, but the boss has to put something in place. This is not right. ————————
We love the food, but their delivery is hit or miss. Even their pick up time is hit or miss, which you would think would be faster.
I put in an order for two Mexican taco meals at 6:29pm on Sat. We didn’t get it until well after 8pm. I called at 7:50pm and the girl said they had catering deliveries...that’s poor management..why would you use your one delivery person for a large catering job, especially for the weekend? I asked for some type of coupon for the inconvenience and the girl said that she couldn’t do that, only a manager can...I asked to speak to the the manager and they were “not there.” On top of this they charge a $3.00 delivery fee! SMH at least waive the fee, if you’re later than the approx. delivery given...
