I bought furniture for which was delivered on 10/8/22. I was given a delivery window period of 2 p to 4 p. My furniture did not arrive until 6 pm and took until about 8 pm to be set up. I was not notified until I had to reach out to the drivers that they were running late. I understand that things come up and I was not the only delivery for this day, however I was waiting all day for this furniture as I moved into a new apartment and I had other plans that evening as well, so I was hoping it would be delivered on time. I received a customer service text message rating my experience at Slumberland and gave this person an honest answer. I was told that this information would be communicated to the delivery team and it is October 16 and I have not heard back from anyone from the delivery department. I reached out to my sales associate Frank and Chris at Slumberland Bloomington. I was told by Frank that in order to consider any way to rectify this he had to send a message through corporate and it may take up to a week to hear back. I just think I spent a lot of money in the store that I would hear back by now and to come up with a resolution on how to compensate for this inconvenience. I do have to admit my purchasing experience was good but actually getting the items was not good at all. Also, there was one piece of furniture, a chair that came with a desk I bought that was defective and the delivery team was unable to assemble it. I was supposed to hear back from customer service for a replacement. I had to reach out to my sale associate Frank on Friday of this week to inquire about this. They could send a replacement, but again I would have to deal with the delivery department where I would have to wait for a time to be assigned during the week when I work, which is not coinvent for me. Due to frustration, I said forget it. I am just disappointed with Slumberland in not reaching out to me for my bad experience and not making things right with respect to...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI liked that Dylan approached me when I first arrived even though I knew what I was looking for but didnāt need his assistance at that time. When he saw me wandering after a time I was ready to do business but not buy. He gave me all the info and options for my item to take home to think about and the next week I was ready. He didnāt pressure me into getting something that day. He was kind and respectful and I liked his hovering approach without being clingy. He was helpful.
I checked out HOM and the difference was that HOM had very nice expensive furniture but the items were too large for my space. I found Slumberlandās furniture not over the top huge and with a good sale reasonably priced. I felt Slumberland met my furniture life style better and will be returning soon to purchase more pieces. I would recommend Slumberland to any of my friends and family looking for furniture.
Itās been 30 years since I purchased furniture and everything has changed from the delivery perspective. The furniture stores used to deliver for 50.00 and put the furniture where it was supposed to be. I believe they had their own trucks and delivery people. Those were the days. Anyway, even with the delivery changes I will still be shopping Slumberland.
Thank you to whomever for making Slumberlandās selection size appropriate...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI purchased a couch from this location along with a "service protection" GUARANTEE - that I was informed at the time of sale that stains like milk, juice, water would qualify as reason to utilize the service. I was NEVER told that the stain or stains had to be a certain size or that there couldnt be multiple stains??? Not only was that incorrect, but when I called the location to inquire and "cash-in" on the extra service I purchased for this couch - the man who took my call did nothing to acknowledge the miscommunication or false advertisement. He also did nothing to offer up his customer (ME) another possible option or referral. #1 Customer Advocate, probably NOT. Instead he says, "It has to be an accidental spill or stain or damage to the couch. Lots of little stains or everyday wear and tear from your children are not what this service is for. It is not a cleaning service." I reply with, "Well, they are stains and they were an accident..." he leaves me with, "Sorry we couldn't help you. Bye." First, obviously I am calling to remove an ACCIDENTAL stain. I am not going to intentionally ruin my couch just to have the pleasure of calling and speaking to someone who cannot help or even refer me to someone who can. Very disappointing and will not be returning for any...
