The beach is beautiful, but as a differently abled person accessibility is challenging when you are only allowed to park for one hour. I applaud this location for having an off street parking lot, and multiple handicapped parking spots(which much to my shock I have found extremely difficult to find in the Delray Beach, Boca Raton, and general South Florida area), but expecting me to unload all that is needed for me to go to the beach, and then make my way back to the car an hour later is absurd. An important note for all beachgoers: South Beach Park is a proud nesting ground for numerous turtles. If you're lucky, you might even witness this natural wonder. But don't worry, the nesting sites are clearly marked to protect these precious creatures and their eggs.
