M&M Thai Café — Restaurant in Boca Raton

In Fort Lauderdale for a work trip. The crew and I decided Thai was in order tonight. We researched several places and decided on M&M, hoping that we would be rewarded with a great meal.

We were not disappointed. Ms. Mai, the owner/head waitress/cook, greeted us with a huge smile and accommodated 4 guys during these crazy COVID times in her 20 person seating area.

She was witty and cracked jokes with us while we ordered. At one point she said, "If you no see what you want, tell me, I make it for you."

The other three guys weren't feeling adventurous, but I took the bait and asked her to surprise me. She took everyone's order and provided an unbelievable meal for all of us.

We had... Appetizers - Edemame and Dumplings (WOW!)

Pad Thai - "This is some of the best, if not the best, Pad Thai I've ever had." Green Curry - "My God this is hot but it is f-ing good!" Red Curry - "I'm so full but I can't stop eating. This is delicious." Me - Chef's Surprise - I don't even know how to describe what I got (see attached picture). Chicken, fresh vegetables (from Mai's garden), rice, and a fried egg with just enough heat to make me sweat and clear my nose.

Mai made 4 believers out of us tonight and if I'm back in the area, I will definitely be head up to see...

This is my first time at M&M Thai since the pandemic. The phone wouldn’t ring but we gave it a shot and drove there anyway. The restaurant was open and filled to capacity at 8pm on a Saturday. We were given a tiny table on the sidewalk and were happy to get it. The food is straight out of Thailand, the only time I’ve had such gorgeous Thai food was in Thailand and I have missed it. We had Thai beer, green papaya salad, dumpling soup, coconut soup and two types of curry. The food was spectacular! Thank goodness May is devoted to the authenticity of her tiny bit of heaven. We delighted in the Thai vegg we found in our curries, the bright spice in our selections and memory of choosing these same items on street carts and slick restaurants in Thailand. The green papaya salad is made fresh, which we must wait for - you will too. But it is well worth it, being much shorter than the 24 hour flight to Bangkok. It warms my heart that this genuine cuisine can be found in Boca Raton. M&M Thai is open and popular - all is right...

I took my family for a lovely dinner last week. This place is run by a family. Food is authentic. Every morsel is flavorful. Excellent service, all the employees were wearing masks and proper PPE to fight the pandemic. Let me break down the food. We ordered Chicken Satay for appetizer. Chicken was perfectly seasons and grilled., so soft and melting. Ordered Pad Kee Mao with Shrimp (Flat rice noodles) and Tofu with Veggies in garlic sauce. Loved the flat rice noodles., they add more veggies and shrimp and just a handful of rice noodles., think I made an excellent choice. Tofu and veggies in garlic Sauce was also very flavorful. Chef came out in person and inquiring is an added personal touch. This place is highly recommended, they have a small indoor dining and opens up outdoor for dinner. You won't regret...
