I am writing this review for the service. I am a life long resident of Boca Raton, and very well known in the community. I have never been treated so poorly in my life. I was appalled by the sales associate and manager when I came in with my, one free chocolate sample notice, for signing up on their website. My first attempt, I was told the free samples ran out and to come back later. The following week, I came back and was told there are no free samples, even when I had showed what I had received. I was then told I needed to purchase something first, then I could have all the samples I wanted. Hmmm…that doesn’t really make sense. I am being told no free sample (one sample), yet I could have all the samples I want with purchase??? My understanding is, you sign up and to get customers into the store, you get one complimentary piece of chocolate…right? Clearly not the case. This is false advertising. Read moreIf you are using the too good to go app, they are offloading their 70% less sugar candy that I’m guessing doesn’t sell, especially since it tastes awful. The only type of candy I received was the 70% less sugar. The in app description mentions past date items and items with bloom - not that you could receive ONLY 70% reduced sugar items. Had I known this, I would not have made the purchase. This comes across to me as bad faith. $15.00 straight to the garbage.
That said, the staff was fantastic! Loaned me a charging cable so I could do the pick up in the app.
Response to owner: Thank you for responding. May I suggest you include a mixture of items that are not selling in each bag. That would convey a corporate attitude of caring about the customer in addition to reducing waste. Read moreMy son was passing by with his friends and they asked them to give a review for free chocolate . They agreed and 1 of their friends gave a 1 star review. My son decided to continue his shopping and come back for the free chocolate . When he did they said “you are the people that gave us the bad review!” His friend admitted to doing that and the worker became very upset and told my son “you don’t deserve the chocolate because you gave us a bad review “ my son told them he gave them 5 starts and it was his friend that gave the 1 . She said she didn’t care and told them to get out of the store. My son was very sad about this and went back to change his review because it wasn’t fair that the girl was so mad about something he didn’t do and embarrassed them at the store .
