I went there today for the Rick Allen meet and greet. What was not disclosed is that patrons had to buy his art in order to do so all while being hounded by the staff to purchase the art and told the line to meet him "didn't mean anything." Those that bought the art got to go in for 15+ minutes and more than once while there was a line of fans out the door waiting for a quick picture. Rick was very sweet and made sure to spend time with the fans at the end but the staff rushed him during it. It was beyond disrespectful of the staff to let people stand in line for over three hours without telling them of the non-advertised requirement to buy. Read moreI recently attended the Paul Stanley presentation at Wentworth Art Gallery, and unfortunately, the experience was far from positive. Despite the gallery's roll-up sign being displayed for months, it failed to communicate that the event was by invitation only. Upon arrival, my friends and I were denied entry, subjected to a disrespectful and abusive treatment by the security staff. Shockingly, they even demanded a $5000 charge on our credit card for admission. This ordeal was especially distressing as our friends had driven for over two hours, coming from Hollywood, FL, only to face such unwarranted mistreatment from the gallery staff. The entire episode left us with a deeply unhappy and disheartening experience, overshadowing any potential enjoyment we might have had...
Read moreThis evening i arrived at the Wentworth Gallery to check out Mickey Harts art. I waited in line for 30-40 minutes then within moments of getting in as i started to appreciate the art we experienced the most horrific employee She started yelling "Get out!" and "That if we don't have any money to buy anything, we need to get leave!". After the way we were treated, my family and friends will never enter this gallery again or spend any our money there.
Consider not profiling your patrons, not screaming at them and treating them in a reasonable fashion. You can't tell someone has money but what they are wearing.
Sincerely yours, A DeadHead in a T-shirt...
