I came into Blue Diamond Jewlers looking for a special custom engagement ring. I met Alexis & Nicole and described the vision of what I wanted. She listened carefully asked detailed questions, and once we painted the complete picture (stone, setting, price, etc) she provided me a sample Design for my approval. This was my treatment on the first visit! She then took the wheel and compared stones and quality from numerous vendors. She gave me options and we zeroed in on 2 diamonds. This is a custom piece, every detail was selected by hand. Poor planning on my part (ive never designed a custom piece of jewelry before) I’m just a regular guy who strolled in Blue Diamond Jewlers off the street on a whim, only two weeks before I wanted to propose. I expressed the importance of this date and asked if they could get it done by the deadline. Alexis managed expectations, updated me on every step of the way and told me she would do her best. Long story short 5:30 PM on a Friday. I get a call from Alexis and she said she has it! She pulled it off, and I was able to propose on the day that I originally planned. This whole process took less than two weeks Blue Diamond Jewlers knocked it out of the park.
They took their time with me to design our ring. NEGOTIATED on my behalf leveraging one broker against the other. Then they pulled some strings to deliver the ring on time (Even though it’s was my own fault for poor planning).
The result was unforgettable and perfection. This type of Customer Service is rare these days. In a world where it’s easier to say make excuses or blame someone else, Alexis and Blue Diamond Jewlers found a way to bring our dream to reality.

I was reluctant at first because I felt it was rude to go into a store simply to pet your dog. However, Kathy opened up those doors and you were there to greet us. We began talking and instantly it felt like we were supposed to walk into that store that day. I had already been eyeing a ring and dropping mega hints to my husband for a Christmas gift. After leaving your store I sent him a photo of your business card.
A few days later he had planned to email you, but surprises are not our strong suit and my daughter was not on board with an email correspondence. She had made new friends and was dying to get back in to see Midas again! So we planned another trip to the store.
My husband and I have been married for 15 years and, as I said, secrets and surprises are hard. We know each other too well and we tell each other everything. He knew I wanted a ruby ring, our daughters birthstone. But you see, it couldn’t be just any old ruby ring. It needed to be special because SHE is special and means the world to us. After meeting with you, you planned the perfect ring. I honestly couldn’t imagine anything more beautiful.
All 3 of you are so amazing. You have an eye for beauty and your attention to detail is unmatched. My husband and I don’t have tons of money to spend and never in a thousand years did I imagine I would own such a beautiful piece of jewelry. You took your time designing this to meet my needs, while also keeping in mind our budget. Read moreWhen choosing a jeweler to repair your jewelry you want to know that your jewelry is secure and in good hands. I would not feel comfortable bringing jewelry with sentimental value here again.
Initial visit was reasonable. Price quote for the ring sizing repair was reasonable at $35. The other store in Coconut Point quoted a much higher rate of $85. I was told it would take 1-1 1/2 weeks for the repair as it would need to be sent out.
Dropped by after a week but the repair wasnt completed. Dropped by after two weeks was told it wasn't ready.
I called on Tuesday (2+ weeks) to see if it was ready but was told by an older woman that she didn't see it, would need to look in the safe, and would call me back. She sounded very confused and asked me for my ticket # four times. She didn't call me back which made me uncomfortable. Why didn't I get a call? Why is this taking longer than expected? Is my ring lost? Is it stolen? Is the employee poorly trained? Where is the "care" for the customer? I gave her two days to return my call but did not get a response.
I called Thursday night and spoke with a nice young lady. She couldn't locate the ring but agreed that she would have her manager call me first thing Friday to explain where my ring was and when I would be able to pick it up. -This girl has great customer service skills.
I got a call from the manager Friday afternoon saying that the ring was ready for pick up and was free of charge due to the inconvenience. I appreciate the fact that the manager covered the repair but the whole experience left me feeling uncomfortable.
