Decent gym. In the East Boston location, it is better than most PFs in the MA area. Most machines are working and it has space if you come at the right time. But, man the front desk receptionists seems like they hate their job! Most of the time, they be on their phones and they don’t even say “Good Morning!”, “Welcome”, or anything! People pay for memberships and at least they could be friendlier and welcoming, it just ruins the mood at times with the unfriendly vibes, sometimes they give you an evil glare like you did something wrong. Come on you guys are the face of the franchise being friendly and outgoing doesn’t hurt… I also have a problem with some members being uncourteous with the machines in the Smith Machine. They spend abnormal amounts there sometimes 1 hours or more. Please put timers or reminders that other members wants to use the machine as well, it’s a shared gym and it’s only right if everyone gets a chance to go. Overall, it’s okay. Read moreI live in the neighborhood and had signed up online. When I went to the gym, I was told that they would be closing for renovations in a couple of days and could attend another nearby gym. I had only joined this gym because of it's location being walking distance from my home. I have tried multiple times, at least 7 to contact the gym via their email address to cancel my membership and to request a refund for all charges as I have not been able to use my membership since. I have not heard back from them after several attempts. There website had no disclosure about the upcoming renovations. It is also stated in the contract under Cancellation Rights (Buyers Rights) that you may cancel and be refunded if the gym substantially changes it's operations.
