Horrible customer service - go to the other location on Newbury instead. Went in today to see if my Prada sunglass case could be replaced. When I bought my pair back in the spring I went back as the case they’d given me had come undone on one side. They said that was the only one they had, so I didn’t have an option but it wasn’t super bad. But after 3 months of normal use, the case completely came apart. Went in today, with receipts and the case to see if I could swap it. The male associate - who has had many bad reviews on here before and may be a manager - said “we don’t give people bad cases”. I explained the situation and his reply was “that doesn’t sound like one of my associates”. I told him I wasn’t lying so I didn’t know what to tell him, but he could look up the purchase to verify what I was saying as well. Instead he said “I’ll make an exception this one time, but that’s not something we would do”. I told him he could guilt me or accuse me of lying all he wanted but I was being truthful so I would appreciate him exchanging - just the case. He then without looking at the case to ensure it’s not damaged, which is what happened the first time and why they didn’t realize they gave me a bad case, hands me a case in a box without looking at me. So I just left with it. It’s a different case, not even for my pair - which was still in stock. Fortunately it’s appears to be in good condition so rather than continue arguing with him to get what I bought, I’ll just leave this here. If “his” associates are trained by him, then it sounds like that’s exactly something they’d do because he’s giving lessons in how NOT to treat, long term customers who have spent thousands at your store. I’ll just go direct to Prada and other brands instead of going through Sunglass Hut moving forward and I recommend that to all. These brands, like Prada, would never treat a customer as he did. I provided the receipt, and complete original packaging, but he very bluntly told me he is the manager will not make any accommodations. In complete disbelief and really disappointed in Sun Glass Hut overall. From getting glasses that were defective, to not being helped when I drove an hour back to the store I originally purchased the glasses from. Will never make any purchases there or any other location and sharing with all my friends and acquaintances my awful experience and how I, a loyal faithful customer...was treated. Read moreThis is an excellent store with great management! I hosted a customer event for 15 - 20 people at this location. They opened the store early for us to have a private event, and Nick and Dina (manager and assistant manager) did such a fabulous job communicating with us, being responsive, etc. they prepared the store for us in advance and were extremely accommodating. Honestly I can’t say enough positive things about the way this store is run. We received raving feedback from our attendees post-event, thanks to the excellent coordination and hosting by the store management.
