As you can see we ordered a bunch of food, But overall, it was very disappointing.
First of all the drinks: I ordered the watermelon drink that was limited edition and the flavor had a little hint of watermelon which it was very watery.
Second, the pizza: the spicy pepperoni pizza was delicious 😋 but the Thai Chicken pizza was absolutely disgusting. The topping and the sauce did not belong on the pizza which as a family of 6 with a big appetite, 3/4 of the pizza was left on the table.
Third, the Pasta: Chicken Pasta Fettuccine(⭐️⭐️) had noodles that were undercooked. Really felt I was just chewing on cooked flour. And the flavor overall was very watery.
Shrimp Scampi Zuccini(⭐️⭐️⭐️) also had noodles that were undercooked. Although the shrimp and zuccini was ok, the portion was smaller compared to other pastas and the flavor did not wow me.
Bolognese sphagetti(⭐️): don't let the fancy description get you, this is just a too plain sphagetti that everybody had more than once in their life. To be honest my elementary school served better sphagettis with more meat and sauce. It was to bland; barely any sauce or meat chunks(which makes the sphagetti THE sphagett).
Fourth, the salad: Classic Caesar(⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️): The chicken breast was tender with the hint of smokiness, and what could you hate about a salad? Anyways very disappointing how this restaurant is very pricey and is apparently known for their pizza but the most o-kay dish was the salad ..
Last but not least, the customer service(⭐️⭐️): First of all when our family entered the restaurant I don't understand how we were welcomed with side eyes??? Not only that when the foods were served the waitress did not even come once to ask of the foods alright or it fits our taste. This was very disappointing.
Overall, my family spend about 300$ in this restaurant and I could say with complete sureness that we are never coming to this place again in Boston.
The parking's free though. 🤷♀️ The free parking and caesar salad was the...

Given this experience, I would NOT visit California Pizza Kitchen #calpizzakitchen again. If possible, I wanted to give negative stars for this experience (to be fair, the foods were mostly OK).
This is an overall very bad service from the waitress named Priual (spelling could be off a little because she spent so little time near the table):
We did not complain on the spot because we have already ordered the foods, but they were not out yet. The waitress c/would probably spit or put something in there (maybe she did already?) if we filed a complaint. In contrast, next table's waiter (named Andre) was fantastic based on observations.
The economy is good so the employer probably fears that even these incompetent workers would quit, which would create an understaffed situation. Either for that reason, or this waitress does not understand the concept of "customer service" but at the same time thinking that she is entitled (not earning) gratitude/tips...
Read moreThis review is strictly related to our experience of service at this Boston Downtown location and not about the food. We visited the location on Tuesday August 9, 2022 at around 11 AM as they opened. There were a total of 3 tables occupied including ours. Hostess was nice and seated us with the menu. There was one server attending all the tables. We decided what we wanted for the food and the drinks in about 5-10 min and waited another 15 min for the server to come take our order. During this time one additional table got occupied right behind us. I then waived at the hostess who was arranging things at the bar. She let us know that she would ask the server to come take our order. He proceeded to the table behind us to take their drink order and completely ignored us. Another 10 min went by and finally the hostess came and said she would take our order. She did a decent job of bringing our drinks, food, and the check at the end. From my seat at the table I could see that our order was ready at kitchen for at least 5 min and the server went to it to check (perhaps something else) but still didn't have the courtesy to bring to our table as the hostess was busy up front. Later as they got busier during Lunch hour, this server promptly visited each table as they were seated. This made us wonder why the three of us. Husband Wife and a nine year old ethnic family was constantly ignored by him. It felt very disrespectful. Food was decent as always, but the late service in taking our order and then bringing out our food made our 9 year old literary cry as he was extremely hungry. You don't visit a restaurant to wait 1 hr for food after being seated. On top of that being ignored the way we were left a very bad taste that would always make us think twice before visiting any...
